My daily routine is pretty much in chaos during puppy housebreaking time. I do get them out in the morning, feed them, then pop them back in their cozy crate while I take a long walk. After that, the day is up for grabs. I might or might not have time to make decent meals or take a shower. Forget housecleaning. Complicating matters, Bill is sick, so he hasn't been able to help much with them. I feel like a new single mom!

Another productive day, but not balanced at all nutritionally - in fact, still trying to get in the water before bed. Managed to eek in under the top of my range today, barely, but WAY over on carbs and light on the protein. Can't wait for the holidays to be over and for me to get a grip again. Aaargh!

Hey guys...

Late check in for me. It was a busy day and will be most of the week. Weight was low this morning. Got rid of my bloat from Friday's salt fest. Walked some hills on the treadmill last night and went to boot camp class this morning. Nutrition is good. Made a double batch of lentil soup from the spark people cook book yesterday and will have that for lunch this week.

Have gotten several comments on my weight lately and it feels good. Amazing what 5 lbs can do. Everyone have a great evening!

I went over on calories again yesterday, but not enough to justify the 3 pound weight gain! What a way to start the week. I expect it was the hot and sour soup we had for lunch. I didn't sleep well last night due to a windstorm. I woke about 3 and got little sleep after that--just enough to dream I had been evacuated to a clinic other than the one I work at and was late for work! I did manage to get my Christmas cards done yesterday. Still need to work on the water intake.

Have found my way back to processed foods (snacks in particular) and the pounds are coming back with a vengeance. Now feeling sick today on top of it...hoping it is gone by tonight so I can rollerskate after breaking down and buying special shorts to protect my bun.

This seems to be the weekend when the wheels have just completely fallen off for people. I had the worst binge in a year yesterday and gained 3 pounds...probably from all the sodium. Although I wasn't entirely jazzed about the date yesterday, I was still in a bit of an emotional state when he stood me up, and I went back to an old habit, which I was able to nip after one day.

I'm cutting back on my food a bit for the rest of the week to make up for it, drinking more water and doing a bit more exercise. I went back to the gym last night to do lower body strength training, did upper body and abs this morning, and planning to do some exercise bike, elliptical and step class tonight.

Also met another gentleman who seems to be a bit more low-key and more of what I'm looking for at this point, so we'll see if we end up meeting for coffee this week...

emoticon Woke up to 4 inches of heavy wet snow that keeps falling off the big trees with sounds like thunder.. I won't be walking much in this today as it balls up in the dogs feet and they stop every few minutes to rid their feet of snowballs.. Wet, west coast snow is awful stuff.. I like the dry fluffy snow of colder environments. Add to headache, alot of people just don't know how to drive in the snow on the coast, nor have proper tires and it makes for a messy day. I'd stay home, but have a Dr. appt this morning to get checked over and arthritis meds refilled.

Ready to face the day off and try to stay away from the junk. SO hard these days - and fighting to get fitness in is even more of a challenge. Heading out the door right now to get the cats nails done, then mine, and pick up the Angel Tree gift, stamps, and drop of the Angel Tree gift and lbs and lbs of cheese for dinner at our local homeless shelter. Trying to keep things slow today as the rest of this week will be GO-GO-GO!!! Have a great day fellow Sparkers...will check back in tonight and see how well I did.

Kitty & Christie -- YOU CAN DO IT!

A weekend of ankle pain has temporarily derailed my training plans. But, that's no excuse to lay off cardio completely. I'm going to continue to get on the elliptical and exercise bikes.

SN: I have discovered why body builders love peanut butter. My breakfast weighed in at almost 500 cals for a PB & banana sandwich!!! Yet another food ends up on the "not worth the calories" list.

good morning! woke up this a.m. with weight probably at an all-time low. yesterday went well - 5 mile run with the two border collies (we brought our daughter's BC home from seattle) in the snow and another mile walked just as it was getting dark. spent most of the day working otherwise. and food was nice and easy with good leftovers from the day before. DH says it snowed quite a bit so snow blowing may finally be on the exercise agenda today.
