Late check-in:)
Scale down another .6
Only .2 away from goal original goal weight again. I'm glad it's back in my comfort zone again.
Made it to the Y for my ST...then I even did 35 mins on the elliptical. Got myy 3.1 miles done in 34:30- that's my best time ever, so I was happy about that. I hadn't even intended to do any more than the weigh circuit, but once I was there, I changed my mind and stayed longer.
I feel pretty good about getting back on track today- I had really missed it.
Good night everyone!

Michelle

Hanging in there during the holiday season. I have to make sure I track and stick to my exercise routine and weigh myself at least 2X per week. Be healthy and happy, Pat

Good news my weight is down to within 3 lbs of where I would be ideally.
bad news is it took food poisoning to get it there!

a little better today taking it easy and eating stuff mom gave me in my sick bed. Like soft boiled eggs and dry toast.
NOT soup tho! That's what poisoned me!

Been struggling with being tired the past few days. When I get that way it's easy for me to overeat. Hence today I'm making a special effort to refocus, no matter how I feel. The scale number is starting to creep up on me and I don't want that to continue. Would love to get a run in later today. I know that would help a lot!

Last night was the big Christmas extravaganza concert for one of the orchestras my husband plays in. I went with him for his early call and so had over an hour to kill before the concert. I had reading material and was sitting in front of a Starbucks kiosk. I thought about having a festive coffee beverage, but in our fair city the Starbucks have calorie counts on their menu. Even though I had the calories to spare, I couldn't bring myself to "spend" over 300 calories on a small ("tall") beverage. Not saying I swear off eggnog lattes for life, but last night I just couldn't do it!

Well, I feel dumb all around this morning! Mandy, we'll all have to friend your SIL, and be friended back, in order to see her blog. Laura, what's DOMS? And, Sue and Brooklyn, I couldn't find any news about the Nobel Prize--except that the EU got the Peace Prize, which I think I knew. I couldn't even find a "dumb" emoticon! emoticon

I overslept this morning, so maybe it's just me!

It looks like everyone is doing well and staying active.

I am very proud of myself and I am thankful that I can share it here. Last night I snacked on a half ounce of almonds, about 3 whole walnuts, and about a cup of black grapes. I topped it off with a cup of hot mint tea. Thanks, Amanda for the herbal tea suggestion!

My goal is no snacking after supper, however supper was earlier than usual last night. Nuts and grapes... what could be more perfect than that!

Good morning, everyone! And Happy International Ninja Day (that's according to my Wicked Sassy Ninja Challenge that I'm doing in the Done being the Fat Girl team)!

This morning, it was all about strength training...and I definitely worked my muscles to failure. It felt fantastic, and I'm looking forward to my cardio workout tonight, after a quick errand.

Food is back under control, and I'm holding steady at 164.4 right now...drinking a TON of water along with herbal tea. Hoping to rejoin my running group tomorrow, but we'll see how the knee is. I may decide to just take this week off from running with them and do the track at the gym, but at least the wound on the knee has scabbed over, so I don't have to mess with dressings anymore!

I also get my body composition tested tomorrow as well, so we'll see how that goes.

Happy Humpday, everyone!

Jane

Good morning ladies!

Ran two miles last night. I haven't been running as much and really going to focus on it this month. Got up early this morning for boot camp class. Really going to focus on getting some work cleared off of my desk this morning.

Have a great day

No clue how I missed checking in yesterday. Happy belated birthday, Sue!

Warm weather is over for the time being, so I will likely move workouts indoors. Put the car in the shop this morning, and DH dropped me off at the bus stop, just as a cold front was pushing through. I hope I'm dressed warmly enough for the afternoon commute and for waiting at the bus stop for DH to pick me up.

Lori - One time when I wanted pie, I just ordered pie for lunch. It was great and didn't break the calorie bank. Just skipped the lunch otherwise! (-: Sometimes good to eat dessert first!

Will be traveling starting Monday. Lots to do to get ready. It will be great to see my son, his wife and our granddaughter who is 1 1/2. Hawaii at this time of year could be fun, my son says there are lots of nice lights in the city. I'm not starting this trip at a weight I want to be at.

Today the lady I'm working for plans to take me to lunch. They serve rolls and free pie (with an entree on Wednesdays) I will have to have some serious self-control today. I don't want the bread and I don't need the pie. Though I want it!

Sue - I had to google the Nobel Prize. Yes, an interesting choice.
Tortoise - You should get a lot of praise from your doc.

Same as yesterday. Lots of packing, planning and taking care of last minute details around here. A walk to keep limber after singing at another nursing home. That's it.

Good day to all.

Good morning team. I'm glad to hear you had a good birthday, Sue. I am headed to gym for 30 min eliptical and then an hour of RIPPED class. Refrigerator is full of healthy options to pack my lunch. Scale is good. I'm just dealing with a lot of stress, but I am thankful to have the skills necessary to deal with it to keep life in balance.

and it's another day... or night:-) thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday! it was a pretty good day, the usual, a lot of work which DH and i did together, really interesting about the Nobel prize. made it a fun way to spend the day. we managed to squeeze in a 4 mile walk, and i even did ST - not much, but enough for the streak. we had dinner at a mexican restaurant, and of course i ate too many chips, but today is another day. my morning weight yesterday was excellent; today, not so much, but i recognize these day to day fluctuations, and know that all is well.

have a great one!
