Took a walk after dinner because DH keeps buying cookies! Ah well, the swimsuit still fits. (Did the natural hot springs pools.)

Whew! Just weighed in this morning and I lost my Thanksgiving weight finally. It was only a couple of pounds, but way over my scream weight!
I usually lose weight this time of year because I am busy, but these days it is getting harder and harder to get myself out and walking. It's raining to beat the band!
Getting a new puppy may motivate me more. Have to take her out and socialize her.

Hi! Everyone! How were your Thanksgiving numbers? I also went to a wedding, buffet and all! I have also become VERY involved with ZUMBA, I LOVE, LOVE LOVE it! Please see my blog dated 11-29-12 for more on this subject, if you care to!

I've released .6 pound, a little more than a 1/2!

I have joined the "Christmas Gift To Me" team, 5# down by Christmas! 4.4 more to go! (I have made the commitment AND bought myself a tangible gift, to wrap up, when I achieve this goal!)I am trying REALLY hard to achieve this, without OVER compensating my life's goals. I can get obsessive! Weigh in for that team is on Tuesdays. So I'll be weighing in 2 X a week. I'll REALLY have to keep my obsessive nature under control. I have a habit of getting on the scale several times a day. That's why I joined THIS team. To keep me real!

Happy weekend to all! I hear there are MANY walks-runs going on with all my Spark Friends! Have fun to health! That's why we do it, RIGHT? I am in the Las Vegas, Mini Convention- Santa 5K. Marionette will walk with me, too! AND my hat will have the SPARKPEOPLE.COM sign on it! Hope to meet you there!

LOGOULD-
I've had trouble with the plantar faciitis too, and I was fitted at the running shoe store and they recommended Pinnacle Power Step. They were 40 bucks, but worth every penny! Last a long time, and now I have two pair.
If you can find a retailer that can make a recommendation for which one is right for you- that's the best. Here's a link:

ughh..I'm so annoyed. Weight is up again:( I'm now 3 over goal. I haven't been that far over goal in a really long time. I hope this isn't a trend. I am thinking it's still from the sodium- and unfortunately what I made for packing in lunches for the next week is ham and bean soup. There isn't a lot of ham in it, and it doesn't taste overly salty ( I added no salt), but it may be higher than I think- no real way to tell. We'll see what the next week brings, and if it's more of the same, I'll have to rethink making that soup again any time soon.
Another thought is that I am on like day 29 of my monthly cycle..some months only have 21 days in my cycle, so that may be a contributor too. I almost always drop a pound or two when day one finally comes back around.

I have four letters for you right now: DOMS. My hamstrings and glutes are howling after this morning's run (6.2 miles in 55 minutes...my running partner REALLY pushed me!) and Wednesday's strength training. Tonight, it's definitely time for a hot date with an epsom salt bath.

I ate a little too much yesterday, but as I ended up eating too little on Wednesday, it evens out. I stayed in range, but was still a little high for comfort. I'm back to a more comfortable level today.

Have a great Friday, everyone!

Quick check-in....

Nutrition was good yesterday... did a shorter ST workout, so I have to make up for it in cardio today to hit 1,000 minutes this month. Doctor appt. this afternoon, so hopefully my mind will be put at ease.

Have a great day!

Finally got a decen run in yesteday (3.17 miles), but I'm paying for it today. Th plantar faciitis is hurting so bad I can barely walk. Will go to CVS today and try an insert n my shoes to see if that doesn't help. Was an abismal day eating however. After our run last night - last adveure run of the year, the running club decided to get together at a Mexican restaurant for a celebration. I have avoided Mexican food like the plague since trying to lose/maintan weight, and even though I ordered roasted chicken, I went WAY over on the nutrition. That's gonna take a while to make up. Somebody kick me in the ever widening behind!

On a lighter note, got back the results from my bone density test. I come from a long, long line of women with severe osteoporosis, so this was a little scary, but the result had me well above the average for women of my age and in my legs, my bones are as strong as a "young" person. emoticon emoticon

KT, that's exactly what my scale has been up to. I reached goal last week, only to have my weight bounce back up again. Grrr. I have been playing it a little loose with my calories, going over my max allotment more often than not, though, so that might account for it. I should see what happens if I really crack down on myself.

Ooohhh! Now I feel guilty! I normally bring my breakfast to work (I start at 7 am) but today I stopped at Safeway for a breakfast sandwich since I had a coupon for a free one. I don't think it'll derail my day! emoticon Let's get this day started right!

Good Morning to my favorite team :) :)

Yesterday was a bust, so I have to pay for it today.

For some reason I found myself in line at McD's drive thru this morning before I snapped out of it, thinking "WHAT am I doing?? I ate over 2000 cals yesterday, I can't start the day like this!" I owe this to you guys, because I was thinking about what I would write for this check-in and I didn't want to report that I was eating fast food biscuits at my desk first thing.

Thanks so much for being here every day!

Hi, all! I had a good ST session yesterday with my trainer, and I was paired with someone who matched me well in ability. At the end, the other person noted next week would be her one-year point with our trainer, so I asked how long I had been with her, thinking maybe three years. As of January 23, it will be FIVE years that I've been working with my trainer. It took me the first three to get serious about losing weight (a couple of minor yo-yo's) in that time. I knew there was good muscle under all that fat; you just couldn't see it. So part of the joy of losing weight was watching the muscle definition come out. Hmmmm...think I need to reflect more on this...maybe a blog.

Checking in. Yesterday was so so. Calories a little high, salty and weight shows it. 45 minutes of zumba for activity. Scale must be broken, it has been stuck for so long. It went down 2 pounds 3 days ago and then right back up-grrrrrr

Lots of water today, better eating, and more exercise.

Good morning! I am looking forward to a rest day from intense working out, but probably will go for a long walk with my husband. I am trying to learn true consistency in activity and I like the way I feel. All "steady" or something! I hope everyone has a great day feeling healthy.
