Thank you Cindi. We have so much to be thankful for every day, not just Thanksgiving.
God bless.

I like that! Looking forward to doing a Turkey Trot tomorrow. And doing lots of walking and running for the weekend! Staying pretty consistent so far, so I'm motivated not to get off track with Thanksgiving.

Jeans looser, eating on the road seems to promote weight loss. For me, anyway. Still walking. And freezing!!!! (Maybe that burns more cals, LOL!)

My husband snacks every night. Just one snack, right before bed. I have a tendency to have heartburn from most evening snacks. I have one usual snack, it's a dulce de leche sugar free pudding. 60 calories. It doesn't give me heartburn and is hardly any calories. I include it in my plan. I have to eat something in order to take my night meds. I've begun eliminating the snack by just taking my meds after my evening meal at 6. Then my stomach has time to empty for bed at 9.

Have fun everyone with all your holiday food prep. My daughter is preparing a vegan gluten-free meal, and I am needing neither one. Her menu doesn't appeal to me but I am going to be supportive and try everything. Maybe I'll find something I like. I get to bring pumpkin pie that isn't vegan or gluten free, though I know there are recipes for it out there. Most of us are not used to her kind of menu except her family.

emoticon Sonia, and emoticon on reaching your goal! This isn't my first time, but so far it has been my longest time (6 months yesterday!), and I'm determined it will be my last time to enter maintenance. This is a great, supportive team with strong, energetic, knowledgeable leaders.

Snacking? Yep, I snack. I absolutely can't stand to go to bed hungry, so I try to save a few calories for an evening snack. Did really well on food and exercise the last two days, especially yesterday. After allowing myself to eat freely while on vacay, I need to eat in weight-loss mode for awhile. It wasn't too bad, but I still want to even things out.

I'm also one that doesn't snack in the evenings, but there are times when I don't even get to sit down to eat dinner until 7 or so. With bedtime being around 8-9 PM (I wake up at 4 most mornings so that I make sure to get my morning workouts in), I just don't have time to snack in the evening!

Good morning everyone! I'm in awe of those of you who don't snack in the evening. That is my biggest weakness and I've been postponing getting rid of the behavior since I started this journey over 3 years ago. I've realized that now is the time to change that habit and I'm eager to get to work at it. Last night went very well for me. The more successful nights that I can string together the more ingrained the habit becomes.

Welcome Sonia! I'm new to maintenance too. I hit my goal weight in July. I wasn't nervous about it until this month when I felt softness creeping back around my middle. I've lost weight 3 times in my life. The difference between this time and the other 2 times is that I feel prepared, I have a plan, and I don't feel alone. Thanks Spark! And thanks for this team!

Kim

thanks...this is my first time too, and I'm determined to make it the only time! I have so many people looking to me for inspiration...but most importantly, we must do this for ourselves and our health!

I have all my menu items figured out for Thanksgiving at my mom's--did my shopping yesterday, and I'm so glad I did. Store wasn't too crazy, and if I'd waited til tonight, I'd end up waiting til tomorrow-(and that won't work, because I have plans to spend the day burning lots of calories helping my BF cut firewood......), because my youngest has a chorus concert tonight that I wasn't thinking about when I planned out my tasks :) Whoops...

Beckyanne-caramel corn is so dangerous to me...my WW leader once compared it to crack, and it made me laugh, because I could seriously identify with that picture...once I start, I can't seem to make myself stop, so I try really hard to stay away from it-

Sonia-I was like that when I began this time too...scared to death of maintenance, because I had never been there before...but one day at a time, it seems to be working just fine- somewhere along the way I learned to believe in myself-you will too:)

Jane- way to go breaking thru that barrier, and have a great time on you date Friday!

Have a great holiday everyone...my last day of work for the week :)

Did OK on food yesterday--had enough calories left for a little bag of kettle corn in the evening. I don't snack after dinner often, usually because I don't have the spare calories. I like ice cream but I can usually ignore it--even when my husband is eating it. Yesterday the weather was so wet and wild I didn't event think about walking outside any more than I had to, but today hope to get at least a short one in between storms.

My first vacation day this year. I slept in until six and got in a run with the dog. Going to Spark for a bit and then go where the wind takes me!

Congrats on letting go of the ice cream, Laura, and have fun at step class tonight! I'm thinking about going to one tonight myself...

So if any of you have noticed, I changed my ticker so that I maintain at 170...and this morning, I broke that barrier! WHEEE! Still too early to see if I broke a plateau or if I'm still going to hover around 170 pounds, but I'm not going to worry about it. I still plan to do my usual nutrition and exercise regime and just see what happens.

I ran 4.1 miles this morning, and am planning to try out one or two of the cardio workouts after work that's on that new DVD I picked up this weekend. I also have added some IT band strengthening and stretching exercises to my workout routine, so hopefully that will help me once HM training goes into full swing in January.

I also have a date on Friday...my first one in three years. I'm definitely nervous, especially since I've been in my comfort zone of being alone for as long as I have, but I've known this guy for about 5 months (someone I met at the gym), he's been very respectful, patient, and fun to talk to. Dinner and a movie should be a good time. :)

Way to Go Laura! I'm not an evening snacker. I really never have been unless I've been out and have had a few drinks which I really don't do anymore.

I made caramel corn yesterday for the boys and ended up eating a little too much. Today is a sugarfree day. I can't let myself go like that. That stuff is just so good though especially when it first comes out of the oven and is still a bit warm.

I finally was able to do a bit of jogging on the treadmill yesterday. I will do it again today and then I'm going to head outside tomorrow. My Surgeon has given me the ok to do a jog, but I need to check with my Plastic Surgeon and make sure he's ok with it. Will find that out today.

The weather is perfect here at least for the next few days so getting outside will be easy. Plus outdoor workouts make it easier to not want to come home and snack.

Have a great Tues.!

Morning Team!

I'm going to stop eating ice cream cones every night after dinner starting TODAY.

Step class is penciled in tonight, as BF is going off to play basketball.
