Mine is also a five pound range, which I think is objectively reasonable given normal variations in biology. And, like many of you, I feel uncomfortable when I'm at the top of it. Which I am right now, at the end of the February birthday season. (Whew - glad that's over!)

Somehow I think if I had a two pound maintenance range, I'd be anxious if I were at the higher end of the two pounds. It's all in my head.

My original goal weight was 135, but I continued to lose and went to 130. I think I'm most comfortable between 131-134. If I hit 135, I watch it for a few days. I went down to 129 and felt too thin and my clothes were starting to get baggy. Yep, about 132 is right for me.

I've decided I can be anywhere between 120-125. It's a comfortable zone for me, and I haven't stepped outside it since I got to my goal weight in December. I still weigh myself pretty often, but I've mostly stopped tracking my food - I'd like to think I've learned enough good habits to not need it, but if I start dipping below or rising above my zone I'll start tracking again.

I have alert weights that tell me my food calories need better attention. I fluctuate from 165 to 173. My goal weight is 170.

IM AT 120 AND IF I GO ANY HIGHER THAN THAT I GET NERVOUS. I CAN BE A LITTLE BELOW AND BE OK WITH IT. BUT ONLY BY 1 OR 2 POUNDS.

IF I COULD GET INTO EXERCISING MORE I COULD GO WITH A LITTLE MORE.

Its about 5 pounds for me. My initial goal was 125 and then I re-set it at 120 so I would have play room. Got down to 118 and that was tooooo much, so am now at 123. Works for me.

Well. I can say I am quite pleased with myself. I went 2 weeks between weigh ins as part of my maintenace and backing off things a bit. I lost .6 pounds. With all of the stress and extra "treats" I will call that good!

My husband is gone all week this week so I will face another test and see how I do. I am more of a boredom eater than emotional. I hope that by owning up to that and keeping myself occupied with the knowledge I will come out with no problems.

For me, I think it should be less because 5 lb swing freaks me out too... I'm thinking maybe 4 (but honestly 3 would be good).

I've backslidden... I reached my goal and was now maintaining, but now I need to lose 10 pounds and firm up.

I generally allow for about 5 pounds. My goal says 119, but I really haven't gotten there. I stay between 121 and 124. If I got over 125, I would have to adjust something - probably my food intake. But since I am wearing size 4 pants and they fit well, I am happy. I am also working on some precision body sculpting for definition and strength, so I must allow for some weight gain as I build muscle.

I have alotted a 5 pound swing. I hope I don't have to use it, but you can't be perfect all of the time. Tomorrow will be the real tale of the test. I went 2 weeks this time between weigh ins to start to back off and see how I do. In that time my mom and brother were in the hospital and I didn't make good choices a few times. THis will be a real observation of how much I learned and I am kind of excited to see it.

I'd like to know what weight fluctuation is acceptable to you. I fluctuate about 5 or 6 pounds and I still hate seeing a gain even if when it's within those 5 or 6 pounds. I weighed in today and had a small gain. I'm still under my goal weight so why does this bother me???

thanks
amy
