YEAH!!! I DID IT! Met up with the running group (well, actually only two others) and did 4.33 miles in the dark, and the rain, with the temps below 35 and a long list of reasons why that wasn't a good idea tonight....but, I made myself go and did it. Kind of proud of myself - earned that hot chocolate when I got home!

Hi team-mates!

Workout today was eliptical for 30 min and cycle fit class for 60 min.

Nutrition was on track.

Sleep is still struggling; it's taking awhile to get used to the time change. So I was up really early.

I noticed a little anxiety eating while watching the returns, so I'm checking in and holding up a big STOP sign so I don't blow my totals.

At least it will be over soon, and we will know who our President will be. Whoever it is will need our prayers!

Spent 11 hours on a train, with not much to do but eat, nap, and watch the gorgeous scenery. Had a reasonable dinner after good walk uphill with luggage, so not too bad. Jeans still fit!

I am on track today to undo some of the damage I've been doing to myself the last 4 days. The Halloween candy is now out of the house. I've scheduled some much needed exercise (Curves) that I haven't been getting since a half hour walk on Saturday. I dropped my ballot in the drop box yesterday after work, so all I need to worry about now are the results. I am NOT going to eat after dinner tonight unless I am under 1200 calories! I think I need to sign up for an accountability buddy. I too am sorry for your loss, ONEWEIGH. Thank all of you who voted and may the best man win!

I had Bible study this morning, stopped by the office to sign checks for the community and my husband and I will go vote later this afternoon. It is overcast here today and we have had just enough shower to make things wet. No big or prolonged rain yet. I think that will be moving in later tonight. So other than voting, I can spend my time at home catching up on some chores and I will get a treadmill walk in later.

Could be... though I've never seen her with anything other than the stuff they've legalized in Colorado (if you know what I mean..) but that should make her fatter, not skinnier! She just re-enrolled to finish her degree this semester, maybe she's taking adderall to help her study? She seems like the ADHD type.

Got home yesterday and immediately put on sweats, which is never a good thing because I instantly go into a coma.

Roomie and his GF cooked frozen pizza, boneless buffalo bites, and tater tots (and lots of beer) for dinner. I resisted! I had spaghetti squash instead. Passed out at 8:30, missed the gym but also was about 300 cals short of goal.

There's something I don't get... When roomie met GF in March she was chunky. Now she's lost so much weight she's gaunt and flat-chested. They stay up every night drinking and eat like crap, how does she do it? If I ate like that for one day my weight would be up immediately.. sigh.. the universe is unfair.

Today I'm going to try to sneak out of here around 3:45 and line up at my polling place. WHY didn't I do early voting? Kicking myself.. but I WILL fit in the gym this evening!!

Things are still off-kilter. I'm supplying my husband with comfort food but I need to be more prudent with my eating. My digestion is already protesting due to the stress and grief. Today I have to find a florist and order flowers for the memorial service. Tomorrow I'll go back to work and rebid for my job. I'm sure I'll get my old shift, but it's still a stress for everyone. I voted by mail over a week ago, but yesterday verified that my vote had been received and processed. If you're in the US, whatever your beliefs or politics, VOTE! emoticon

Getting lots of walking in between the Metro and my offsite meeting, a mile each way, plus I got turned around yesterday and didn't discover my error until
I was a half mile in the wrong direction...thus an extra mile. Also had a challenging yoga class last night, and I'm back in the low end of my range this am, just in time for vacay, which starts Thursday.

Did my ST@Y yesterday--rode my bike there to get in the cardio too. Made chili for supper and cornbread--hadn't had cornbread in so long--I love it! I had more than I should have, but today is another day.

I voted at the courthouse a few weeks ago when I had my youngest son there to take his exam for his driver's permit. Can't wait to watch the results tally up tonight!

Have a great day, All!

Thinking being on the low range of maintenance weight is a good thing with holidays coming. However, also learning it really doesn't matter that much what the scale says within range as there are 2-4 lbs flunctuations quite easily. Of course, voting today. Also have a stack of coupons last day of sale to buy foods for everyone else, not even healthy foods, but so cheap. So something else I need to look at - I wasn't doing this while I was losing the weight. I really could be using this time more wisely (at least I have now recognized it). Strange that the patterns I can fall back into are not completely food related - there were other things that definitely contributed to where I was at when I started.

I'll be voting today after my dentist appointment. I'm excited, but TBH, very nervous about the outcome as well. At least it will be over soon.

The scale is slowly sliding down after my wild weekend. My husband had dinner made for me when I got home from work. Spaghetti - my daughter LOVED it! And it was nice to be able to just sit down and eat without worrying about what to make (or what restaurant to go to, which is too often the case).

If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?

What is right is not always easy, and what is easy is not always right.

We drove 20 miles to our polling place this morning (long story) and back again since I sing at a nursing home at 10:30. So much for a morning run.

If I eat an early light lunch maybe I can run in early afternoon before activities with granddaughter. Otherwise it will just be walking during her 90 minutes of dance classes.

The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.

Got back on track with some good nutrition yesterday. Got my usual workout in too, the run was lovely, 4.5 miles with fireworks - bonfire night in the UK just wished I hadn't worn a baseball cap!
Easy day today with just a half hour on the stationary bike and maybe a walk later weather permitting. Still on track with nutrition but I'm nervous about weighing on Friday.

So I'm back to work after a TERRIFIC three day weekend. I'm definitely looking forward to more time off at Thanksgiving (4 days) and Christmas/New Year's (a week and a half!).

I only ran 4.4 miles this morning, but my chest isn't 100% clear yet, so it really should be expected, especially after pushing myself so hard last week. I'll try to go a little further on Thursday's run, but we'll see how it goes.

I've also decided that it's finally time to make the transition, now that I'm at 174. I'm shooting for a maintenance weight of 165 +/- 5 pounds, which I think is realistic for me. I get my fat percentage measured on Thursday, so that will help me know where I am as well.

I also have a target date for starting my half marathon training: January 8. emoticon

It feels good to be back at my desk after a week on the road! Time to get caught up with paperwork

Traveling didn't do as much damage as I feared. My weight's about the same as when I left.

We'll be voting sometime during the day and then watching the results tonight.

Finally heard from BIL on the Jersey Shore. Their town, next door to Point Pleasant, Belmar, and Manasquan, all of which got slammed badly, was relatively unscathed, except for the boardwalk and no electricity for a week. He spent the week in a luxury hotel that put him and his buddy up in the honeymoon suite, with fireplace and all the food they could eat, for $50 a night! He's probably sorry to be back home.

Yesterday turned out pretty good food-wise, but no workout. DH went out of town this morning, so I wanted to spend more time with him last night. I've been up since 3:30 am to get him out the door. Instead of going back to sleep, I did a short cardio workout. I'll do another workout tonight, and I should have another good eating day.

We voted Friday night, so I don't have to deal with that after work.

Have a great day, all!

Yep! It's almost over, for better or worse! I'm getting ready to get dressed and WALK to the poll! (Yeah, yeah, it's only 3 streets over.) It's COLD outside, though. 35 degrees. Then I have to go to work. Sedentary job, for the most part. A quick walk this morning and maybe this evening is what I will need!

Nutrition has not been good the past day or two, and it's showing on the scale. Seems to have a direct correlation with lack of rest and sleep. Got 9 hours last night only waking up about 5 times, so feeling more rested. Hopefully today will be better.
