Blech... possible change o' plans. DH is going to be out of town Tuesday, so we are going to try to vote tonight if I get home in time. By the time we do that, we'll probably go ahead and eat, which more than likely means no workout tonight. I've already hit my calories goal for the week, and he's working tomorrow which means I can get a long one in, so I'm not going to stress about missing out tonight.

Good luck, Kitty, with the 5K. Hope that extra adrenalin will provide you with surprisingly great results!
Happy birthday Jane!
I finished my stressful deadlines yesterday with a huge sigh of relief and am looking forward to sleeping a little better. Sliding the scale down to 149.75 was a nice way to start the day; something about being in the 140s rather than the 150s. Then I did 30 min of eliptical and then a R.I.P.P.E.D. class for 60 min (kind of a boot camp type class). It was a great workout and I'm so glad it's Friday. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Jane! Wouldn't that be an extra lap to SHRINK on? I went over on calories yesterday because I decided at bedtime that I NEEDED some candy corn. I'm on the downhill side of the stress for the week. Next week there will be an eating event every day at work, so I'll have that to navigate. Also a pot-luck breakfast between services at church Sunday (since the choir is singing both). Weight has been under goal all week and I'd like to keep it that way.

Jane - Happy Birthday! Great way to celebrate.
BIGPAWSUP - Enjoy your first 5K!
I spent so long on SP this morning, I almost missed my aerobic/weights class. I'm always glad afterwards to have made the effort. I hate to pick up weights on my own. It's just so much more enjoyable for me in a group. I get that "if she can do it, so can I" feeling.
No time for treadmill, darn it. Maybe a few miles outside this afternoon.
The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.

Ah, it feels good to be back on track!
BF is out of town for the weekend, so I decided to make some tofu stir fry last night. Just entered it into my tracker and a huge bowl of stir fry plus a cup of rice was under 400 cals! Tofu still tastes like Elmer's glue to me, but I guess it's an acquired taste.
I went to disappointing group fitness class last night. It was called GroupKick. I've taken "punch the air" kickboxing classes before but this one was horrible. It was like... Shuffle two steps forward, set up for a side kick, don't kick anything. Pause for 8 counts. Do it again on the left side.... I didn't even work up a sweat, will NEVER go back to that class. Oh well, it was better than sitting on the couch! I tracked it as "Group ST class" and only ended up with 28 calories in an hour! Haha! I'm not going the change it, because honestly I don't think I burned much more than that.
Anywhoo, going out tonight to celebrate a girlfriend's "Freedom Party" (she just seperated from her husband). I have to drive about 30 mins to get to the bar, so hopefully that will prevent me in overindulging in calorie-packed alcoholic beverages!

Morning all! After a couple of days of running out of town errands and appointments, I have a day at home. I have a function tonight and a half-day meeting tomorrow, so I plan to enjoy today and catch up on e-mail, reading, and home chores and I feel back on track with my eating.
Jane, Happy Birthday!

Jane.
Started off Nov yesterday with a walk - back to step by step, a goal at a time. Also did pt exercises for shoulders. Off to Bible study with DH where we are the youngsters - one of my favorite times of the week (hope I am as wise when I am elderly).

Good morning, team!
After 4 days of pretty intense and longer workouts, I decided to rest yesterday. Eating was not stellar.
DH wants to go to dinner tonight, but I WILL workout beforehand. I wanted to early vote after work, but I don't think I'll get home in time. My normal hour-long commute is more like 1.5 to 2 on Fridays.
I really need to get my head on straight for the weekend.
Susan, I hear ya. I've been struggling this week and the scale shows it.

WOOHOOO! It's my birthday! I'm now 41.
So I celebrated by doing 41 laps in the 25 meter pool at the gym....and then one more lap to grow on. :) I decided to go into work today (one of my co-workers is making mini-frittatas for breakfast), and then afterwards, I'm headed to boot camp to get my butt kicked again. :)
Dinner tonight will be sushi and MAYBE a cupcake, though I haven't decided on the cupcake part of it. Since I have to be somewhere tomorrow at 6;30 AM, it will have to be an early night for this birthday girl, but that's OK. I had a HUGE celebration last year for my 40th. Every year doesn't have to start with such a big bang!
Well, off to get ready for work. Have a FABULOUS Friday, ladies and gents!

days are shorter, stress is higher, demands on time - managed to fit in two walks yesterday, but munched a few too many crackers while waiting for lunch to cook. still no strength training in the mix... and weight is inching up just this first week. trying to stay accountable here.
