Went with a friend to another friend's home on one of the islands in the sound - we wandered around a bit, and made pizza for their new outdoor pizza oven - I focused on vegs and little cheese. Had fun, ate in range (roughly), and enjoyed the afternoon.
I live in Central Florida where my little corner of the world was hit by the eyes of 3 hurricanes in 6 weeks in 2004. So I sympathize with all of you who are waiting to see what Sandy will bring you. She brought us wind and now our temperatures are going down and are expected to be below normal for a while.
Do prepare as suggested for your area. I am praying that all will be well and Sandy will not cause any serious problems for anyone.
God bless all of you.

Haven't checked in for a while. Need to come to this thread to read about others' days to be reassured that I'm sorta normal. You all inspire me to pick myself up and get back on track after a week with three binges! I am ready to buckle down. This time of year is kinda depressing to me, even though I love walking in the cooler weather. I just don't look forward to the bare leafless trees. Early darkness in the eve. On the bright side, I just found out that we are having a 6th grandbaby coming in late May! In Hawaii! So another visit to my son will be coming.

Hello--I am hoping the "perfect storm" isn't, We are having a bright sunshiney day, for which i am extremely grateful..It really lifts my mood. Winterizing the houseboat getaway yesterday tends to sink my mood, and I refuse to soothe my spirit with comfort foods. Let's put that habit to a permanent rest. So I've been to church, did some cleaning, now reading the ads and checking in. Yesterday's eating was not ideal as we were cleaning out and packing refrigerator so we didn't carry over "healthy" food and my exercise was climbing all over the place getting stuff packed away. Looking forward to the results of the races being run today by teammates! Go team!
Yes, stay safe, friends! I'm down a bit from yesterday. I went under on calories which is downright weird for a Saturday. I intended to have a snack before bed, but before I got around to it the power went out, so I went to bed instead. I did go shopping. It still amazes me that I can take 6 pairs of size 2P pants into a dressing room and they all fit. I got a deal on a pair of Not Your Daughter's Jeans. I had a gift card and they were on a rack that was mismarked. I asked the clerk to check because the tag scanner in the dressing room showed them as full price but the rack they were on indicated 25% off. She said, "Oh, that's wrong, someone probably took that off the Levi's rack, but I'll honor the price." I didn't expect that when I asked, because I knew it might have been a mistake, but I wasn't going to turn it down when offered. I probably saved her some grief later in the day as there were two racks that were mismarked.

My focus for today is getting back on track with everything Spark. Weighed in this morning and am 3 pounds over goal; time to re-focus. Also, very mindful of Hurricane Sandy that could cause our area a lot of problems. Best of luck to all of you who may be effected as well; stay safe! Pat
I believe in myself, I am a strong woman. I will reach my goals, NOTHING & NOBODY will hold me down. I will live my life with integrity and intention. I will set a good example for my daughters and my son. I will be a woman that makes my grand children proud when they look at pictures of me long after I've left this earth.
Just got back from my trip to Savannah, and ended up peeling off some pounds. That often happens because, even though I'm on the road and eating in restaurants, I tend to restrict myself more than I do at home. And we're off again late Tuesday, heading to New Orleans for a conference. I'm practically at my goal weight, so maybe I can relax and laissez le bon temps rouler when we're there!

Thinking about all my East Coast pals and wishing them well. I live in Florida...and we know hurricanes...hate to see these storms, no matter where they turn up.
Getting ready to go on vacation to Las Vegas. Working on my plan to enjoy myself, but not stray too far from maintenance land...lots of walking, lots of water, and splitting meals with the hubby whenever I can.
Have a great Sunday!

Up and dressed (two pairs of dri-core leggings and a mock turtile neck and running jacket, headband and gloves)with extra clothes for my running buddy - her first 10K and it is 35 with a wind chill of 30!!! BRRRRR!!! Hope it warms up a little for the next race in two weeks. Got to feel sorry for those who will be cheering on the runners. It's going to be COLD for us, and we'll be moving. Those poor folks standing on the sideline, aaargh! Today's high is supposed to make it to 45 degrees. Just too cold for this early in the year. Hope they have hot cider at the hydration stations (JK). Best wishes to all of you and prayers to those of you on the east coast! Have a great Sunday!
