Should be in range by the end of the day, I'm only halfway there right now. (5:30 PM our time)
And I burned about 500-600 cals moving boxes today - up a flight of stairs and into the cars, then at the storage center out of the cars and into the storage unit. Over 100 boxes. Plus my job was then to organize the boxes - house, kitchen, books, craft stuff at the back and bottom, then fragile on top of that. DH and my clothing in boxes at the front, for easy access whenever we return or if we need more my brother can easily find the boxes and ship a box or two.
All that took over 2 hours, so if I subtract the drive I figure I worked for an hour. Or so.
Great workout! I love when my fitness has a function!

Not much is new here either. I have been at the exact same weight (half a pound under goal) for 3 days now. I had a wonderful cardio workout yesterday. Curves is closed tonight so I am going to go to the gym for my strength training. My eating has been right on target. All is well, except for my stupid allergies.

Spent first part of day with the homeless. So many - and the population is growing at an alarming rate. So many have lost homes due to loss of jobs, foreclosures. We hand out water (and prayer for those who want it) as they wait for the soap kitchen to open (illegal to hand out anything not sealed). My gratitude level definitely different on these days - and though I still "eat mindfully," my perspective changes. So many hungry...
Weighed in today at 148.5. I don't want to keep losing right now, but it's happening. I just spent a few hundred dollars for 3 pairs of new jeans, so I want to be able to wear them for awhile before they get too big. But on the other hand, I like the idea of losing some, that way when I overeat over the holidays (likely will happen as I LOVE to holiday bake), it'll put me back at my original goal of 150.
So, I guess I'm not eating enough, although I thought after this past weekend I would for sure gain or at least stay the same, not lose 1.5lbs. I'm going to go through the past 2 weeks to figure out, on average, what I'm eating per day and then try to add 50-100 to it to see if that puts me at a halt for now. Problem is I'm really struggling with what to add in, I eat pretty well already and often after dinner, I'm not hungry at all. I do need to get better about not forgetting my work snacks though. Earlier this week it was my apple, today it was my piece of cheese.
Working on maintaining at 140!

After a couple of days when my sodium intake took a little spike (sushi on Tuesday, deli meat as part of my lunch on Wednesday), I'm glad to be back to a "normal" food day for me. Did some swimming this morning and excited about heading to the local art museum tonight to see the Tiffany lamps exhibit and a screening of "Vertigo."
Last night's church service was fantastic too...it's been a while since I've had a church home, so I'm looking forward to Sunday's service. :)
Hope all yas are having a thankful Thursday!

OK, so I'm not the only one who had an awful Wednesday! Very busy and stressful at work. FIL is still in the hospital getting dialysis. Took my Mom shopping after work (not stressful!) but that gets me home later. Quick dinner and then off to choir practice. Before I left I said, "I'm stressed and exhausted but I know it'll make me feel better." It did. I was well within my calorie range for the day, even with a bedtime glass of wine. Started off this morning getting a pill stuck in my throat and still feel a bit sick. Tonight is my monthly dinner out with two of my three sisters-in-law. Looking forward to that, but the restaurant is Asian fusion, so I expect a sodium bump to my weight tomorrow. Friday is coming!
I'm going to go for a run in the neighborhood. For dinner I'm eating my black bean pumpkin soup with a spinach salad!
Late start this morning. Woke up at 1:30, couldn't get back to sleep, and decided to just get up and do some work. That tired me out, and I slept a solid 5 hours. Now running late, but I don't care!
Willow, at least you aren't up MORE! That would be a real misery.

Good Morning All,
Late to work this morning... 2nd time this week. No bueno. Yesterday took pup for a little walk/run and then went to Centergy. It was great.
Made some healthy chicken noodle for dinner, but as I was putting away the leftovers I had a mini-binge. I caught myself shoveling food into my face before I even knew what happened. Leftovers are my trigger, they often turn into second dinner when I go back to put them away. Tonight I'll box up the extra portions BEFORE serving myself. We'll see if that works.
Let's make good choices, team!
I'm heading out to the gym to run like a child - a specific child - my 10 year old granddaughter.
We're planning to run the NY mini (10K) in June. 3 generations! We plan to do run/walk intervals. She can run faster than me. She's 10 after all and can move her legs a lot faster, but she walks slower. My legs are a lot longer. So, today I'll try to imitate her pattern - a faster run and slower walk and see how it goes.
The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.
I am happy to report that I am back in my maintenance range, after some hormonal weight changes have dissipated and after a few days of really concentrated effort. I'm leaving to go out of town to a cabin with a group of 4 friends and their families, and we're sharing cooking duties. I fear that means there's going to be a lot that's out of my control. I'll try to watch portions, but it's not going to be easy. I hope I don't eat my way back to where I was before and lose this good progress!
Lost 65 pounds just in time for my 40th birthday. Now maintaining my weight loss, training for a half marathon and lifting weights seriously. Love my body and love my life. It was all worth it!
Have had a couple busy days at work and then computer issues. My mail server decided to start sorting my mail for me and it took me quite some time to figure out where all my spark notifications and mail from my running groups were going. Got that straighten out, but now I have a bunch to catch up on. Also need to get in touch with my virus security co. and get that updated and the fridge cleaned out and my fitness in and lighting practice tonight and grocery shopping done.....and that's my day off. Glad I got to sleep in a bit. Didn't get up till almost 7AM this morning. Felt good. Hope everyone else has a wonderful day - will try to check in later, but that probably won't happen.

Quick check-in, as I have to work today and still get ready for the U.S. FreedomWalk Festival, which runs tomorrow through Sunday in Arlington, Virginia. Cheers!

Willow: You are doing a great job of staying focused and on track. You are right..the scale provides us with great opportunities to learn how to be non emotional reactions to the scale.
Hope your headache is better.
I am off for a walk in the cold. I can do it.

Good morning WILLOWBROOKS and all who follow.
There must have been something in the water yesterday. My day was unpleasant as well. I ended up taking a rest day from working out as I really did not feel well. Today is going to be MUCH better, I can feel it already!

Over 110 pounds gone for good!
I stayed well within my calorie range during a really unpleasant Wednesday, though between my schedule and a raging headache by evening, I only got in my morning walk. I am still up 1.2 lbs this morning. What a great opportunity to work on nonemotional reactions to the scale :-). I just did a really good workout on my new treadmill (rainy morning). Happy Thursday, everyone!
