Did swimming this morning and some abs and a walk tonight. In between, I was the host for a day-long presentation by the Medicare Administrative Contractors for Tennessee at one of the hospitals I work for. It's always interesting for someone who prepares the reporting to Medicare to sit with a bunch of billing people and get their perspective. Definitely a good day.
Tonight, I'm off to an event for More Light Presbyterians at a local church (which may end up becoming my church home...we'll see), and I just bought my ticket to go see "Vertigo" tomorrow night at the local art museum. It's my favorite Hitchcock movie, so I can't wait!

I've been doing great. I've been staying at half a pound under goal weight for 2 days now without a whole lot of effort. I've never had such an easy time maintaining before. Maybe something has just clicked after trying so hard to figure it out these last 5 years? I don't know, but I'm feeling like a million bucks! According to the body fat analyzer at Curves, I'm at 24.2% body fat. I wonder how accurate those things are? Either way, I'm maintaining a weight a few pounds lower than my original goal weight and feeling pretty darn good about it!

For the last two days, I have not received any of my normal Spark email notifications (the daily emails I usually receive, notices of teammates' postings). Would anyone know how I can report this or what to do? I've had a terrible time with posting this message, too. Maybe AOL has gone crazy.
Okay, that being said, I weighed yesterday and was down to 149--it always feels so good to be in the next lower "decade." I have decided on a lower goal weight, 145. I was inspired by comments I've read here about setting a weight based upon a list of factors, and with the hope that my body fat will adjust. [Could I order some of that fat re-deposited to the face and chest- and take it from the thighs, please? lol] So I signed up for the challenge and am tracking a little more faithfully (I had done okay with Breakfast, Snacks and Lunch, but pretty much didn't track the evening eating--which is my most vulnerable time).
Thanks for any help on the techno stuff.

Had a better day yesterday, and weighed in today at 149.5. My only issue today... I don't want to eat what I brought for lunch :) But I will... I shouldn't spend the money to go out as I already did on Monday.
Another day. A lot of the work is landing on me as my coworker is training someone who may take an experienced workers job. FIL is in the hospital and was to start dialysis last night. Poor husband--in addition to dealing with his parents, we had a new dishwasher delivered yesterday, the first one leaked and so they had to take it away and deliver another in the afternoon, then on the way to the hospital he got rear-ended. I'm keeping him supplied with lots of love, comfort food and ice cream!

Sue are you sure your gain isn't just due to salt in restaurant food? I am happy that my gain from last week is officially gone again. I don't adjust my weight when I go up slightly since I really don't want to be congratulated for losing the same weight. I had gained 3 pounds after an Indian buffet last week (I expected this) and kept it on for a whole week due to poor choices last week. I have been on track since last Saturday. Still eating more than I used to since I may have been under eating but the 3 pounds are gone this morning. I still may not have a weight loss on Saturday but at least the gain is gone.

Had a great day yesterday, and I woke up with a fabulous disposition this morning! Saw a beautiful sunrise on the way to work, and I'm ready to make it great day.
Monday and Tuesday I ate in weight loss mode. It certainly hasn't felt like it though! I've been making Spark Cookbook recipes all week, and my tastebuds tell me I'm way over limit... but when I track, sure enough, I'm under :)
With all the parties and family gatherings happening in the next few months, I think it's best to eat less than 1500 on regular days until New Years. Challenge accepted!

My weight was up this morning, too, but I did eat a lot of salt yesterday.
Made sure I did my stretches yesterday, and I'm having less pain today. To keep it that way, I plan to get up from my desk frequently and walk the floor, and I want to walk outside when it gets a tad bit warmer.
ok, enough slacking off - weight is up this morning (104.6) and while that was a good thing when i was bottoming out a bit too low, it's time to get back on track. too much snacking between meals, and tasting while preparing. i know what i need to do...
took an extra day off from running and hiked along the shoreline to a deserted beach - even got in the ocean for the first time since we arrived (the waves and currents often prevent this, but yesterday we found a good place). run planned for later today and leftovers so cooking will be easy.
