Had a busy day Sunday
Went to Sunday School and church then to lunch with friends. Home to take a nap as I was invited to my church families house for a six o'clock cook out. I woke up at 6:30.
I called the hostess and told her I had just woke up. She said don't worry everyone is working and it is going to be late. So I got in my and took out.
They were teasing me about my no desserts and tempting me. The hostess was so kind to ask if I would like fresh fruit. I said "I don't want to put you into any trouble" but she said she had it there and I had a wonderful bowl of fresh fruit while they had yucky They posted me on face book. The picture of me isn't pretty but the fruit is.
Then came home and sparked, went to bed, got up in an hour and here I am.

Made better choices today than earlier in the week, so cals are in range (though nutrition leaves something to be desired). And DH and I went to town and walked around for a while - fresh air plus cardio, can't go wrong with that!

Another horrible sleep, just wake up in pain too soon. Same old, same old, night after night. I am lucky to get one straight hour of sleep and no more than 2-3 total.
I get in pain if I sit or lay down too long so its a rock & a hard place. This is why I like to keep moving and generally rack up the fitness minutes. It was a gorgeous day here and I hiked 2.5 hours on three tough moutain biking trails. Didn't help my nutrition choices, meals were healthy but treats over the top -that Farmer's Market Flapper pie and giant chewy ginger snap cookie are very hard to resist :PP Loaded up on a ton of nummy veggies for my supper though.

Good morning! I didn't sleep well last night, but made myself get up to get to the early church service, so by 11 the day is my own. I'm down to my goal weight this morning but I'm not congratulating myself until I've been there a few more days. Yesterday afternoon we went to check on my in-laws. How they're doing is somewhere between what he reports (I'm OK.) and her reports (He's at death's door.) Husband decided to take Dad a milkshake as that's something he'll eat most days. Decided to get one to fortify himself for the ordeal and asked if I wanted one. Not knowing whether the visit was going to turn into a trip to the hospital, I said, "Sure." He went through McD's drive through and ordered mediums with whip (I almost yelped, "No!"). I drank it and it was good. When I got home I looked it up and remembered why I rarely have milkshakes anymore. 710 calories. That put me over for the day, but it did serve as dinner.

I turned 5 quarts of green tomatoes into pickles today. Hopefully they come out. I have never pickled tomatoes before. I think I will make the rest into chutney. I would like to clear the tomatoes out of my counters. Will be going out shortly to work in the yard. It is beautiful outside and good working weather. I just need to finish my water. We went out for brunch and the waitress only filled my glass the first time and I am definitely behind on water today.. It is 2:30 and I have only had 5 glasses.

aloha! looks like everyone is having a slow start on sunday, since i'm in the time zone farthest to the west, albeit up as usual in the middle of the night.
yesterday was perhaps the first time i had to think about eating enough - weight was down to 102.4 in the morning, and i absolutely don't want to go lower. we took a long walk on the beach in the morning, 5.5 miles total - incredible resistance workout sinking into the sand. i never understood how people can run on the beach; i might try it galloway style, but i suspect the intervals will be very short. we also took two shorter walks later in the day, bringing the mileage total to 8 miles.
nutrition is simple here - breakfast in the middle of the night a peanut butter sandwich with an orange, "lunch" after the morning walk oatmeal and a half papaya, and dinner white bean and basil dip with a napa lettuce salad. added a snack of chips and salsa with edamame on the side for protein, and still weighed in the 102s this morning. such a problem! never had this happen before...
today we will run early before the heat comes up and then just enjoy the rest of the day...
