Pretty good day, though with my race tomorrow, today was a day off fitness wise. The scale finally showed some movement, but that may be a result of a flu bug that I had for a couple days earlier this week. Managed to stay almost with in all my limits today....only 2g over in fats, but well within calories range. Not bad considering that lunch at work today was pumpkin/pecan pancakes and my sis made pot roast for dinner.

Tomorrow I am up early and off to a 5K and praying it isn't freezing (literally). I have 10K's every other weekend for the next month, so I'll have plenty of time to learn to run in the bitter cold. I just don't think I want to start tomorrow, but it will be what it will be. Either way, hot chocolate at the end...YUM!!!

My knee is feeling a lot better than it has been all week, so I'm excited for spin class tomorrow, though I'm probably going to skip yoga until I know that I can support myself on my hands and feet with the bum shoulder. I'm making sure to move the left arm in all sorts of different ways to keep the mobility there. People walking past my desk may think I'm weird, but the last thing I need is a frozen shoulder! Looking forward to going back to my regular routine next week, that's for sure.

I noticed that the past couple of days, I've been craving carbs a bit more than normal and have eaten a little more than I'm used to. I've stayed in range, but just something I noticed. Maybe it's due to the injuries I sustained? I don't know...I'm just trying to be a bit more mindful today.

Weighed in again at goal weight. It's been pretty consistent this week, so I think I'm actually here! Sort of a weird feeling, since it did go up and down a bit last week and the week before.

Also, a minor achievement, I forgot to pack my breakfast this morning (which is usually just a 130 calorie fiber bar) and realized it when I was halfway to work. But, instead of stopping at Einstein's for a bagel (290 calories), or McDonald's for a sausage mcmuffin (370 calories..I used to eat 2 of these at a time, eek!), I just had my yogurt meant for my afternoon snack, since I have an extra stash of popcorn in my office I can have for my afternoon snack instead. Having either of the two other options for breakfast would have put me dangerously high for the day, especially since our dinner plans aren't set in stone, and I'm probably going to be eating junk all day tomorrow. So, go me.

Good morning!

Computer issues to start my Friday, but they seem to be resolved now. Eating was okay yesterday, but was lazy for dinner and had some soup which was rather high in sodium. I didn't drink enough water to compensate, so I'm feeling bloaty.

Also, I'm trying to figure out what the heck is going on with my cycle. I have felt PMS-y for a week or so, but no TOM yet.... pretty much a week late. I guess for the next few years it will be a guessing game.

Proud of myself for working out last night. I was really tired and feeling burned out, but I talked myself into it.

We have my stepdaughter this weekend, so that's fun.... looks like the weather will be gorgeous!

Have a great Friday!

Soooo glad it's Friday. A bit bloaty this morning. Still running a bit high on calories due to indulging myself with that mini pie for two days. It's gone now, so today should be well in range. Work and aging parent stress continues, so I'm not going to stress about being up or down a half a pound!

Yesterday I ate the foods I ate when I was losing to my bmr, and today am down 3 lbs. So now I have learned about water weight and that my body is super sensitive to what I am giving it. I had a banana and milk smoothy yesterday and couldn't keep my eyes open - went online and found doctors prescribe this same drink for toddlers who have difficulty sleeping! Off to a bible study where my DH and I are the youngest members - most are 75+ and married more than 50+. One of my favorite events of the week!

Been up a little all week, but this morning the scale read exactly where I like it to be! Grandkids will be here for the weekend. Ut's been a while, so we're looking forward to having them.

Oh my gosh... for a short holiday week, it sure felt like Friday would never come! Now, just gotta make it to 5:30...

Yesterday I was feeling tired, cranky, and extra hormonal thanks to Mother Nature. Drug myself to a Zumba class, which actually was the perfect workout because I was feeling so sassy! Had my favorite fast food meal for dinner (Chik-fil-a 3 piece with a side salad and a diet lemonade) stayed within range AND didn't have to do dishes :) It was a surprisingly good day.

JERSYGRL & LOGOULD... I'll be celebrating your birthdays by running my first 5k race of the year! I'm really excited about it. It's a 'fun run' so there won't be any chip timing, but I'll bring my cell along so I can time myself. The course is pretty hilly, but I'm aiming for 32:00 which will be a personal best.

I'm running out to the gym this morning for aerobics/wts class hoping to get 30 min on the tm too. Running, walking? I'll see how I feel.

Have a good day everyone!

The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.

This weight thing can really be frustrating. The good thing is that we are conscious of our food choices as they relate to nutrition and weight gain. I step on the scale weekly which is a bit better for me to see average gain or loss. Just had to lose 2 pounds which felt like they went on in one meal yet took forever to come off. We are away this weekend so I have to be careful of food choices. By the way we share birthdays logould.

Boy, I hear you on THAT one Suzy!!! FINALLY, this morning I am within 1.5 pounds of the middle of my goal range. The flu this week disrupted my fitness for a few days, but tomorrow is my next 5K and I have a race every other weekend for the next two months. I was really hoping to be at the low end of my range by my birthday (11/10), but the chances of that are slim and none. Did an experiment yesterday and wore my HRM the last hour or so of the evening and while I slept to see what kind of calorie burn I am registering. NOT GOOD - seems that per my HRM, I am only burning around 45 cals an hour while at rest which puts me at under 1100 calories a day without any activity. Per most resources, my BMR should be more around 1350. I may need to look a little more closely at my nutrition levels. Maybe on Sunday. For now, off to get ready for work 9-6 and then get everything ready for the race tomorrow. Sis is making pot roast today and we are having pumpkin pancakes for lunch at work, so breakfast this morning was a spinach and pnut butter protein smoothie and any snacks will all be veggies and or a little fruit. It should all balance out,
HAVE A SPARKTASTIC DAY EVERYONE!!!

Man, if it weren't for that moving average inching down one-tenth of a pound every day, and my newfound knowledge that it takes me two weeks to consolidate a pound's weight loss, I'd be mighty discouraged right now! Thank you, Physics Diet.com!
