Never mind. I started 10/12, so all's well. (Not awake yet, apparently!)

Too many errands and too many meals out, plus a husband who had a tooth pulled - not a good combo all taken together.

Crazy stressful day at work, but escaped out in time to make the drive to pick up the race packets for my running buddy and I for Saturday's race. Saved her from having to make the trip and gave me some quiet time for myself. Things on the home front aren't much calmer, so the "time out" was much needed. Now to get some rest tonight before work tomorrow and then prep for the race on Saturday. Gonna feel good to just run and really push myself. My running buddy ran last weekend in a race and almost broke 30 mins......I need to try to give her a run for her money! LOL!!!

Just lost a HUGE Excel spreadsheet at work - seems to have disappeared from the Server. Holy Moly! And 'me' with no wine at home. emoticon

Glad the fall did not keep you down. I know you are not supposed to hold on when on the treadmill but I just don't trust myself because I am afraid I will fall. Hope you continue a good recovery.

Time for good news after my treadmill accident! :)

I did 60 minutes on the elliptical machine last night, and then made sure to ice my knee down afterwards, and ended up being just fine. This morning, I ran 5.2 miles, iced down the knee, and again, doing just fine there.

I also went to the orthopedic surgeon this morning and got my shoulder looked at. Fortunately, it's just a strained deltoid muscle and there's nothing wrong with the rest of the shoulder (I was worried that I had hurt my rotator cuff!). I can go back to swimming and upper body weight training next week, and the exercises I was given were already exercises that were in my ST program, so that makes me a happy camper.

So I'm glad that now, the news is good news this week, and the tumble on the treadmill was just a blip.

4 tm miles this morning. After yesterday's hills, it was back to flat. I don't want to push my knee too much and set myself back.

Food tracking is going well. I have turkey meat loaf planned for dinner along with the neverending pot of balsamic root vegetables. I really have to see how this dish freezes. We like it, but for 2 people, it's a lot. I never had luck making just half the recipe. Then I was stuck with half a turnip, half pound of parsnips etc. and no ideas except to make it again.

The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.

Yes, I have a tough time if there are nuts in the house (family excepted, of course!). I overate yesterday but most of it was intentional. I treated myself to a 5" Marionberry Hazelnut pie when I made a grocery delivery order. I ate half and left the rest for tonight. Then I went to choir practice and someone had made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I was going to pass, but then someone waved them under my nose. emoticon emoticon Work stress continues. FIL stress continues--he needs to start dialysis if he wants to buy himself some time and quality of life. So I try not to go hog-wild, but I am indulging myself a little.

LOVE almonds...and cashews...and walnuts! Definitely have to measure for me.

Way to show restraint, Laura!

Telework day, so I got lots of blessed sleep last night.

Today is a lucky day...10/11/12!

Yesterday I went to a Mexican restaurant and only ate half of my lunch portion meal, and donated the rest to the BF for his lunch today. Victory! Took pup on an unsatisfying run... that darn stitch returned and I had to walk some. Just wasn't feeling it :(

Today I'll try it again. I'll make sure to eat a snack and hopefully I'll have more energy. Planning on making the 130-cal apple crisp from SparkRecipes for dessert tonight, so it's motivation to eat well all day long.

Well, if you have to overdo on nuts, almonds are the ones to do it with. They wouldn't tempt me, but a can of cashews sure would!

Tracking well, though the physicsdiet.com site drives me nuts. It is good, however, for a really honest running average loss and calorie deficit.

Bill walked with me again this morning. It's fall here in Florida, so the weather is getting gorgeous.

You are right, if I eat out of the bag....always will overeat.

Today is my free Thursday (not in the office) and all I can say is YEA. Going to my knitting group + a few errands.

Make it a great healthy day

Every day I am on the verge of making slight changes that would make all the difference in my life.

I know, right? I usually keep a 1/8 cup measuring cup in the bag, but I was eating out of the bag. Lesson learned!

TMI, but they usually go through me pretty fast. emoticon

Good morning!

Yesterday was pretty good except for an almond incident. I ate way too many! Feeling sore this morning from Tuesday's workout. Hope to work that out tonight.

Have a great day!
