5 miles of walking, and I think I ate okay - need to go track right now. (busy day!)

Good day today. Ran 3 and did ST and ate reasonably (~1700 cal.).

Yesterday was a GREAT day. Ran 10 and then wasn't hungry after that, so I ate well (~1600). I'm finding that tracking everything is a real comfort. Then I know when to stop eating for the day and I don't get as panicky about whether I overate that day or not.

Anyone seen 4A around recently? Seems like she's been MIA...

Hi everyone! I've been super-busy the past few days but have managed to keep on top of my calories and exercise as planned. I'm looking forward to the last of my dinners this week with friends and hope I can really unwind. TGIF, indeed!

My name's Tina. I lost more than 90 pounds between March 2010 and March 2012 and have been keeping if off ever since.

I had a busy and productive day. I did weight lifting, followed by a cycle spin class. I took used clothing and household items by the Salvation Army drop off center. I dropped off my dry cleaning and picked up some cookies at the Swiss Bakery. Then I traded the cookies for a yard sign to support my favorite candidates. After lunch I went to the mall, did some shopping and got my hair done. Great day!

I had another fantastic day yesterday and am back to within 1 pound of goal weight. I am SO glad it is possible for the weight to come back off as easily as it comes back on!!

I joined this team back in 2010 when I accomplished my goal weight. Something I had never done before ever in life and I was 63. I did not stay connected with SP after I reached goal in any significant way. I regained part of the weight I lost and decided in December 2011 to come back to lose it and then lose another 5-10 pounds. I didn't stay connected with SP until July when finally got serious. I started tracking food and exercise on 7/30 and I have lost 11 pounds since then. I am now only 1 pound from my 2010 goal of 145. I plan to continue losing but am actually unsure what my final goal weight will be. While I am losing I want to really learn maintenance.

I was feeling very tired out early in August from losing weight and exercising a lot in the Florida heat. I decided that I could not continue to be successful if I was light headed, tentative when exercising, and just feeling overtired and blah. So I upped my calories a bit and cut back on exercise and had two weeks of "maintenance". I did OK and last week was feeling myself again so I went back on my weight lost plan. It feels wonderful to be able to go back to my plan so easily.

I have finally accepted that I need to track food and exercise forever and that was something I resisted doing. It is a small price to pay for success. I hope to get to know you all better as we continue this adventure together.

Had an early start today, but went to sleep on the couch at 7 last night, then to bed at 9. So even after 10 hours of sleep it was 6 when I got up (i was awake from 9-10) In spite of my long sleep, I have been sleepy this afternoon. It might be thirst, because I haven't had as much water as I usually do. I can remedy that easily enough!

Still haven't worked out today. I'm having a hard time with motivation ever since my trip. I got lots of walking and even ST done while away, but maybe I'm just not feeling settled about being back home.

Amazing how massive stress keeps weight down. I'm finally home after running errands all day, talking to my mother's new doctor and getting her to the dentist. In about a half hour I'll have two cups of coffee and make dinner. Tonight's dinner takes about an hour and a half. Isn't it amazing to spend 1-2 hours every night on a dinner that gets eaten in about 10 minutes?

Must have been a restless night. I woke up at 3:30ish and slept fitfully from then until time to get up. Had some kitten help in that. It was one of those mornings when I felt like I was exhausted before I began because of all the tasks I had to do before leaving the house. Then I got to work to find that my coworker called in sick. We have a staff of 3 and one started a new schedule working 10 hours Friday through Monday so she can finish off her associates degree. That leaves two on Tuesday through Thursday. I was certain this would happen sometime, but surprised that it was the first week. I don't think my coworkers realize that it's sort of a joke around the department--that I'm the only one of the three that can be counted on to show up consistently!
FIL went from his doctor's appointment to the hospital yesterday for more tests, but they let him go home.
The one thing this day has going for it is that it's Bahn Mi day. Every so often someone puts up a sign up sheet in the department and then goes and gets Vietnamese sandwiches. It's a whole lot of joy for $4. Have a great day!

LEB0401, I'm glad that today is working out better for you than yesterday.

Me, I'm a crocheting gal myself. I need to get back into it...maybe as something to do while watching football on Sundays. I don't have a problem with snacking on my binge foods anymore, but I see this project that I have in the corner of my living room collecting dust, and with the Memphis weather getting cooler, it's time to get hooking again! :)

Good Morning All!

emoticon

Wow, what a difference a day makes! My disposition has done a complete 180º since yesterday's check-in. Thanks to SUZYMOBILE for the kind words of support yesterday when I was feeling down.

Work Jerk ended up bringing me lunch yesterday as a "peace offering" so that has settled down. Took my pup for a 5k run around the neighborhood in the evening. It was a strange run.. I did my usual warmup distance, and about 1/4mile into the run I caught an awful stitch. But I ran through it and made it to 2 miles before I had to stop and double over from the pain! I count that as a victory, because before I would have just headed back home.

I'm also very, very grateful this morning. A terrible wreck happened at the beginning of my route to work, just minutes before I got to the intersection. My bf called me in a panic to make sure it wasn't me that they were reporting about on the news, and that just warmed my heart to hear his concern. So thankful for the health and safety of my friends, my family, and myself. You never know when a normal drive to work can change your life forever.

HAPPYSOUL91, I like to knit too! I just started about 2 weeks ago. My boss is away at a conference so it's been incredibly slow at work. I've been keeping myself busy by knitting all day long, and since Monday I've gotten 3 feet into my first project (a scarf).

Spark on!

Morning everyone...yesterday was an abysmal day nutrition wise...blech. Got my hands on some cookies that I KNOW to leave alone and, well, the rest is history. Untill they start selling them in singles, I just have to stay away from them. On a Sparkier note, today I am off for a run and then tonight another run (Adventure Run) at our local running store. It's kind of like a scavenger hunt and is lots of fun, so all together I should rack up 6 or so miles today. Then, I'll be laying back a bit until the race on Sunday.

Good morning!

DH got home around 4:30am, so my sleep was a little disjointed. But I'm happy he's back home! I did ST last night, so I won't feel guilty taking a rest day to spend the evening with him. Eating was pretty good yesterday as it has been all week, but my weight is up. I don't think I'm getting enough water, and I still have some DOMS. Hopefully the rest day will help with that.

Have a great day!

Did NOT sleep well last night...woke up at about 1:15 this morning and could NOT get back to sleep. Thank goodness that I belong to a gym that's open pretty much all the time, so I walked to the gym this morning, got my strength training in (That's the ST that Swede_SU was referring to, Tortoise!), and about to fix breakfast and get ready for my day a little early.

After work, it's back to the gym for a swim.

Nutrition was good yesterday as well as my run, so I'm just glad to be on track for winding down the weight loss process and starting the maintenance chapter. :)

Swede_Su: Enjoy NY. I try to get back whenever I can. China study? Sounds interesting.

Tortoise: That’s the kind of reward your success deserves. Have fun!

I had a lovely 4.5 walk yesterday which included a ½ mile loop through the cemetery to visit Mom & Dad. Beautiful weather and deep thoughts. I also figured out what you all mean by ST and actually did some in the afternoon. Not enough to bother entering in the tracker but it’s a start.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning. Today I am going clothes shopping with my fitness and weight loss buddy. I am glad we set aside time to enjoy what we have accomplished. Both of us cleaned our closets of old, bigger stuff as a way to commit to our new life styles.

good morning all,
another low-smoke day (not as good as the day before, but a lot better than most). the drought continues here in washington, which means no end to the fires farther south.

DH kept me company on the morning run-walk-run, which was a little longer than planned, about 6.5 miles, but with travel coming up i only have two more runs, saturday and tuesday, before the half marathon oct 6. looking forward to it!

nutrition was within limits. facing challenges the next several days, driving to seattle today, flying to new york for the weekend to celebrate my dad's 97th birthday, then back to seattle and home on monday. restaurants ahead - will have to practice portion control and good choices, though looking forward to seeing my sister in law saturday - after my last visit, she read the china study and switched to a plant-based diet. will get in a walk today before i leave, hopefully one on friday morning, a run saturday, walk sunday... and ST where i can.

have a great thursday!
