Weighed myself this morning - I've lost the 2 1/2 lbs. I gained while away on my two week vacation. I'm very pleased about that! Have a great day all. Pat

Whooo! It's hard to keep up with the conversation! I left town on Sunday and returned yesterday (Monday). It was nice to get a little R&R, even if it was barely more than 24 hours.

The weather was nice over the weekend, and today it rained all day.

I went grocery shopping after work and stocked up on fruits and veggies. If I don't have junk food in the apartment, I'm less likely to eat it (I know there is a convenience store on the corner, but I don't often run there to buy stuff).

I'm getting lots of exercise, and keeping busy with volunteer work, but my snacking was bad today.

Good morning everyone. Got in 9.8 miles today and felt GREAT. So thankful that I haven't had any issues with injuries or pain so far. It won't be hard to eat within my calories today!

Weighted the same as yesterday--132.0. Still getting used to being happy when the number stays the same! At the top of my range, which makes me a little nervous, but I'm pleased that I didn't have a 5 lb. weight gain that my nutritionist predicted after coming off the VLCD. Tomorrow will be my 1 week maintenance anniversary~I know this is pathetic, but this is the longest that I've ever been in a "new home" mindset. Every other time I lost weight it was "Let's go hog wild! I've been let out of weight loss prison and it's time to make up for lost calories!" What was I thinking?! Celebrating getting to my weight loss goal by going out and eating ice cream?! Ya, no wonder it didn't work out before!

Lost 65 pounds just in time for my 40th birthday. Now maintaining my weight loss, training for a half marathon and lifting weights seriously. Love my body and love my life. It was all worth it!

Hi everyone! I'm so happy to be feeling like my old self again. Calories are back under control and I've been able to keep up with my workouts again without a problem. I also found a great low-calorie (10 for half a liter) electrolyte drink that I drank before and after yesterday's workout. It was a bit strange drinking a salty beverage, but it seemed to do the trick!

My name's Tina. I lost more than 90 pounds between March 2010 and March 2012 and have been keeping if off ever since.

I did so well yesterday, I ate clean and took a walk. BUT, I made the mistake of buying some Halloween candy so I could have a "fun size" after a meal to get that feeling that I just ate a sweet dessert without too many calories.
Found out all that does is trigger my sweet tooth and make lots of wrappers to throw away. emoticon

Chest and tri's this morning. No cardio- Yay!

As for the holidays, I will continue to weigh every day during the holidays, plan my splurges, and not get excessive with the baking. And when I do, it'll be enough for the family to wipe out in just a day or two. I do NOT need that stuff sticking around!

Yesterday I did OK, except for not quite being able to leave the bag of potato chips alone. My husband can ignore an open bag of chips on a table until they go stale, but I have a hard time walking past them. I'll have some for dinner tonight instead of sneaking a few every time I pass by, as if somehow those calories won't count! Slept OK, except that husband woke up at 4, which woke the cats up, which woke me up. I did get back to fitful sleep, waking every so often to see if it was time for the alarm yet. Got word that my aunt is out of the hospital and into rehab. Tired but improving after her fall. That will help motivate me to get a walking break in at work today--I have to go buy a card!

Self Respect The holidays can be a scarry time i have not allowed myself to think about it. I dont have a good track record with holiday eating and i recognize it has been my mind set where the difficulty would start because i would tell myself im just going to eat what i want for the holidays and how much i want well this does not work not for me. This year i am thinking i will eat the Christmas meal on the 25 th and that is it i will allow myself desserts and drinks on this day but not on other days leading up to the day. The greatest difficulty at times has been at work due to people bringing in goodies for the holiday season and this can start a couple of weeks ahead mid December.

Good morning, I've been thinking about the holidays too. I've got to get a strategy together well before hand so I'm comfortable with it. I'd appreciate any advice anyone has. Thanks ahead of time emoticon

Anyone else a bit intimidated by the approaching Holiday season? Fall is my favorite time of year and, historically, I've always allowed myself to eat whatever I want, particularly around Christmas time. I've got a vantage point this holiday season, however. I've attained my weight goal and I don't want to lose that. I'm hoping that will be the driving force behind eating more healthy at the end of this year of many successes. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Great day with food. Today was workout day for me and i was so looking forward to it. The program i am following calls for 2 days off between workouts wich is an adjustment because i used to workout daily and got used to it so i found myself missing very much not working out for two days. I have to say i was very pleased and impressed with how much energy and strength i had during the session and loved every second of it also i trained harder than i expected. It was worth the wait. . Now i cant wait to do it again but i have to wait 2 days again. I will have to find something else now to fill my time wich is not a bad thing it is allways nice to have extra time. I really am curious where this will take me having 2 to 3 workout sessions a week and no more.

Yesterday when talking with a trainer at the gym, she commented for the amount of exercise I was doing and the effort I was putting into it, I was not eating enough calories and should be increasing my calories to lose weight. You may be in the same position.

Rehab is coming along. Yesterday 1.25 running out of my total 4 miles.
When my appt was cancelled my food choices completely changed for snack & dinner, but stayed in range anyway. Yea!

Today my food plan is set and I'm off to the gym because it's pouring rain here and looks like it will continue all day.

MJZHERE: As they say, concentrate on what you can do, not what you can't. Good for you with the UB workouts. Hope you'll be back on your feet soon.

LOGOULD: My scale gets stuck for weeks at time. Hang in there.

Whew! Yestereday was just a BLUR! Was up and out the door by 6:30 to be at work at 7AM. Worked 7-4 and stayed a bit on the low end nutrition wise since I knew that I would be meeting with my ladies community group at church (which always means yummy nibbles) and I wanted to make sure that I had space to splurge.
After work, I hit the gym for a brief workout.....you do what you can do, right? Got in a mile of laps around the track in just over 10 mins which is better than I have been averaging. Then, did a half hour abs class. Class ended at 5:30 with just enough time to change clothes and get to church by 6 for our group. That was just the recharge that I needed emotionally and spiritually after a tough week or two, but physically, it left me drained. By the time I got home, it was 8:30ish, so I took about an hour to put stuff away and take care of the critters etc, then 1/2 hour to check e-mails etc and off to bed.
Today is a day off, so I slept in till 6:30 and trying to catch up a little of what didn't get done yesterday. Going to pick up a friend in about an hour and head out to the Arboretum for a run this morning. We will be doing a 5K there in just a couple of weeks and the first mile of the race is all up hill, so it will be good practice.....plus it's just a gorgeous place to run.
Scale is stuck between 143.6 and 144.8 - I don't know how I would find time to do more fitness and I have been very good about staying at the middle to low end of my nutrition range and can't go any lower on that. It's only been a week though, so I'll give it till the end of the month and see where I'm at. I would really like my ultimate goal weight set at 135, but I don't know if that is realistic. Any advice?

Still upping my calories and still dropping weight though I can now say I have added some activity. Yesterday finally joined coach nicole in a sitting video and did my upper body. Because of a quad accident several years back, I avoid this area so that was a big "good" for me! Decided to add in a walk later - a whole .88 miles at 2.5 mph and I felt like I had done a marathon! I wonder what it is when you get injured - guess the muscles were trying to say no, let me rest because I can barely sit this morning on either buttock! So need more time yet, and am going to see this as an opportunity to get friendly with my upper body again.

Good morning!

Yesterday went quite well. I did snack after dinner, but my dinner was not quite satisfying, so I'm not stressing. I had a great workout. My weight is looking good for tomorrow's official WI. I'm inching back toward my goal weight.

Hubs is out of town, so I have to avoid boredom eating. Thinking about cleaning out a closet tonight while watching The Voice.

Have a fabulous day!

Identity theft is indeed stressful, Susan! Hope there is no more damage.

Got word that my weight didn't show up in the challenge last week, though I remember entering it because it was 1.5 pounds over. Entered the weight for this week and made sure it was reflected on the spreadsheet. Don't know what happened last time, but 4A caught that I had posted on the board.

Very sore hip this morning. Guessing it's a combination of overstretching at yoga last night and the change in weather. Feels like my shoulder did when I had bursitis. Hope it calms down soon.

Yesterday was suppose to be a rest day, but ended up doing 60 on the elliptical. maintaining is tough. I just don't want to see that scale go up again. Today is my run and then back to Fall cleaning.

A tad over today. Not too surprised. Started Nd ended the day with school meetings. With those on top of my regular day, I got Centergy in but not Power. Second meeting necessitated an easy dinner so I pulled lasagna from the freezer and made a huge salad. Looking forward to today being a calmer day.

good morning! survived monday, beautiful day, the smoke stayed out of the valley till evening. we took a walk in the morning, then added some short walks to total out the 5 mile goal for the day. did not do ST and need to get serious. DH is concerned that weight is still dropping, made a big dinner. despite a fair amount of stress (including receiving a credit card bill for a credit card we never ordered and having to report it to the company, etc), did *not* have an evening glass of wine, took an evening walk instead; did *not* snack while eating. and morning weight was good.

have a good tuesday!
