Nutrition was crazy yesterday - didn't have a real meal until dinner because we had so much running around to do. But my shorts are getting looser, so I think all the walking is working!

Decent day overall. Nuttitionally, I still need to get in some more calories (just a few), a little low on fiber and iron, but really not very hungry. Worked 7-4, then hit the gym on the way home for a half hour abs class and an hour of group strength. Only did about 210 cals burn, but I can tell that I am getting stronger in just the past month. Still have a long way to go, but I keep reminding myself that this is not a race. Gonna try to get a run in tomorrow after work and either ST or another run on Sunday. Gotta jot off a blog and then to bed. Short on sleep yesterday, so I don't want to start that kind of a streak.

Good afternoon. I had a great day and stayed within calorie range even with having lunch out.

Hi everyone! My eating's not been great since my return from the hospital on Wednesday. Just because I need to work on me electrolyte balance, does not mean I have permission to go all out, so I'm resolved to get back on track from this moment on. Don't want this little slip to turn into a big sliiiiiiide!

My name's Tina. I lost more than 90 pounds between March 2010 and March 2012 and have been keeping if off ever since.

ONEWEIGHT and TANYAP71... I have come to the same lightbulb moment... allowing myself to indulge on occasion with the mindset that I will have to work hard to balance it out.

Splurging to me is not mindless eating, but a conscious choice to have something I really want because it's worth it. An example is the upcoming Renfest next month. Hubs and I will go, I will drink a few beers and have some yummy steak on a stick. But I can guarantee that I will eat lean the week before and work out the day of.

It's all about balance. emoticon

Oneweigh - You will recover. I am working on splurging myself - allowing myself to splurge, knowing it will take some work to recover after, but accepting that it is OK to splurge on things that are 'worth the calories'. Maintenance is not day over day over day over day. It's a trend and a few days will be but a blip if you get right back to it after the splurge.

Lorilee - I hope you feel better soon!

Yesterday was a good day. I think.

5 mile run. Centergy class. Food was all good. But I dropped over 1 1/2 pounds in one day. Even though I allowed myself extra big portions of food at dinner (salmon, zucchini, winter squash) and my nightly skinny cow ice cream, I think I didn't eat enough.

I 'think' it was a good day because I got great exercise and great food and I lost weight putting me EXACTLY where I want to be weight wise.

But I'm not sure because I've dropped 4 pounds pretty quickly. Yes, I wanted to be maintaining 124-126 by the end of the month but I didn't really plan to be at 124 this quickly. Food and exercise may be a tad out of whack right now.

I have no doubt you'll recover, Oneweigh. Like you, I let myself have some free-eating days, and then I go back to the basics. I need that break now and then...as long as it doesn't become the norm again.

Had a three-peat with food and fitness. Although I didn't get my walk in yesterday, I had a challenging ST session with my trainer and a sensible dinner.

I've now got bronchitis. My eating has been on the low side, but within range. Though I haven't exercised in 3 days. I've walked 6000 or so steps each day, just getting some movement. But breathing is harder so no cardio for me! This week was supposed to be my push to lose a little in prep for the trip home which may call for a few indulgences of things I can't get where I live now.

Two unbridled eating days in a row, three for the week may put me out of the maintenance challenge, but I'll get back on track next week. I feel I have to learn to allow myself to enjoy these special meals without beating myself up about them, even if they put my weight up for a few days. Last night resumed our monthly Sisters Dinner Club after a summer break. Two of my sisters-in-law and I get together to enjoy ourselves over dinner. The meals are usually untrackable. Last night we had two items off the happy hour menu, two small plates and two entrées off the dinner menu and two desserts that we all shared. I'd go nuts trying to estimate all that. My weight is up less than a half a pound from yesterday, so that's not bad. Today at work we're saying goodbye to someone with a sandwich run to a place that has sold corned beef and pastrami since the 40s. I've never been in on one of these orders before, but I've seen the sandwiches and they're massive. I suppose I could have found someone to split one with, but I really have a thing for Reubens, and I'm going to eat my fill. If maintaining my weight means "No Fun Meals Ever", I'm not playing. I'll just have to buckle down next week to make up for them. Have a great weekend all!

Good Morning!

Had a great day yesterday. I'm down 1 lb after not really eating much yesterday plus constantly moving. I'm sure I will put it back on today once I eat right.

The weekend looks really nice. I'm running a 5k tomorrow.

Enjoy your Friday!

Good morning, team!

Yesterday was pretty good eating-wise. I was going to take a rest day, but decided to do a quick cardio workout instead. My weight is hovering a couple of pounds over goal. I'm beginning to think that's where I need to be. I still have some DOMS from workouts earlier in the week. So it could be water retention or maybe even a little muscle gain. All my clothes fit perfectly, so I'm trying not to stress.

Have a great day all!

Weight was up a bit this morning, but I was less than stellar on my eating yesterday, so it doesn't surprise me. Have a glutes and abs workout planned before hitting cardio with my workout partner. (I hope he makes it to the gym in time.)

This afternoon and evening is all band/football stuff. Will have to pack food to stay on track. This time of year, band is a lifestyle.

Good Morning....got to get moving, but finding this helps me focus on the day ahead. Praying that the day at work is not as CRAZY as yesterday. Getting to start a bit earlier should help. All the normal morning chores are done - still need to pack a snack and or lunch, just in case I get to take a break. Working 7-4, then to the gym for an abs class and then strength training. I would say that I hope it doesn't leave me as sore as the last ones, but the calorie burn is good and if I'm not sore at all, then I feel like I haven't worked hard enough. Just two days until Sunday - YEAH!!!!

Good Morning! Sue good luck with your food today. I too am eating at a restaurant for lunch, celebrating a friends birthday. It is a seafood restaurant so it should be possible to have a healthy meal albeit a bit high in sodium.

good morning!

the smoke still hung in the valley yesterday, so we bagged the morning run, which was just as well, because that speed walk down the mountain the day before left some aches and pains behind. three mile walk in the a.m., 2 mile walk before dinner. wasn't up for ST - MUST do that today. not good to put it off...

weight was high, probably due to salty restaurant dinner, but nutrition went well. finally increased the fitness goals to match what i actually do, which raised my nutrition calories.

will set the alarm to get in the morning run, then heading over the mountains to take care of stuff, will see DD this evening, and face restaurant meals for the next 24 hours - challenges!

have a great friday!
