good morning all,
woke up today for the night shift without a clue as to what time it was, or why i was waking up... then reality hit:-)
wednesday started off coooolllddd! DH found ice that had slipped off the roof in the morning sun! the smoke from the wildfires was nowhere to be seen, and it was walk day, so we drove up the other side of the river a few miles and parked the car at the bottom of a mountain road where we'd never been. started walking, pretty much straight up, bluest sky you ever saw. soon warmed up as we marched along. turned out to be exactly 2.5 miles to a gate, probably for cattle. we turned there (it's nice to have an official turning point) and headed back down, speed walking just for fun. beautiful and fun.
nutrition went well - leftover tofu chard stir-fry for lunch, then we went to a restaurant for dinner, large salad and one glass of wine. must have been salty, because weight was up this a.m.; not worried because i didn't overeat, and we got our 5 miles in. has to be water.
the smoke came back to the valley in the afternoon, and today is running day - hopefully it will disappear during the night so we can get in our morning run.
