Today I feel I had so many victories..

emoticon Woke up at 6:30 am and got to the gym by 7 am! I really struggle with this but I was stress free all day. It was wonderful!!
emoticon Rocked the first meeting for Run For Life, a running group I lead! It was well organized and everyone seems excited!
emoticon Felt lucky and tracked the calories I ate today. About 200 over. The amount I burned in this morning's run. Guess I know why I am not getting back to 160.
emoticon Got my BF to consider getting his mom to get a gym membership. She is slow and has diabetes so he takes care of her.

Woke up this morning feeling crummy about life in general and decided it was because I haven't been taking enough care of myself, trying to do too many things, letting myself get overtired, etc.

So I took stock and all day I've been working on that. Pleased to report that while I'm not ecstatic, I'm at least back on an even keel tonight. I guess it really is possible to adjust one's attitude. LOL

Hope everyone else is feeling better soon, too - both physically AND mentally!

Seems like tough times might be in the air today. I had been feeling great the past few days but started feeling awful midway into my gym session this evening. I tried pushing through it, but wound up having to stop. I'm hoping that it was just something I ate earlier and that I'll feel better in the morning. I had to modify my food from my original plan for the rest day because I was feeling so crummy, but am happy to say that I didn't make any poor choices.

Hope everyone's day brightens up and if you're already having a good one that the brightness continues!

My name's Tina. I lost more than 90 pounds between March 2010 and March 2012 and have been keeping if off ever since.

Logould, I am so sorry about your friends. You all have a tough time coming up.

Susan, I am right with you on being at the low end of goal! I love it!

My mother's neurologist told her yesterday of her diagnosis: cerebral amyloid angiopathy. Never heard of it. I should have asked if it's hereditary. It explains her descent into dementia. The doc has started her on an alzheimer's drug to try to slow her memory loss.

I think I'll head to the tanning salon to relax. I know it's not good for me, but it IS relaxing and isn't fattening.

I think I'm having water retention. My hands feel puffy and so does my face. I started using some fiber in my smoothie and I think that is to blame, maybe my body just needs to get used to it. I did drink a lot yesterday. Anyway, my weight went up 4.5 pounds in 2 days. Argh! I know it can't be fat, since I have eaten within my range and have worked out consistently. I just don't like the scale today!

I got word yesterday that my aunt is doing better. It turns out that she didn't have a heart attack at all, it was just a cascade of problems stemming from her fall and laying for who knows how long. I ticked quite a few things off my "to do" list yesterday and hope to get more done today. I'm not happy with my weight--up another pound from yesterday even though I did OK on eating. I don't like this cyclic bloat thing, but it seems to be the current norm so I'll deal with it. Still need to get back into the walking habit. On with the day!

Susan, your meals sound yummy!

Logould, sorry about your sister and your friends' loss.

Nancyanne, hope your pup is okay!

All, have a great food and fitness day.

I'm having a hard time getting into the work groove, because this beautiful day looks so much like September 11, 2001. Every time I hear a siren outside, I jump. I'm also nervous because my DH is flying an American Airlines flight that is in the same time slot as one of the hijacked planes, and I won't breath easy until I hear he has landed.

Today the dog has surgery so my usually very-early workout is going to be postponed a couple of hours until after I bring her in.

Then, it's chest and tricep day. No cardio today. Yay!

Salads are all made up for dinner tonight- Just have to grill the chicken and toss it on them.

I had a great day yesterday. I had a good run and a walk. I was below my calories though, but I just wasn't hungry. I can't force myself to eat. I will hopefully do better today.

I plan on going out for a short run and then I have errands to run.

Thanks for starting the thread, Susan!

I am loving these cool mornings. Yesterday was pretty good. I missed my water goal, but got in 8, so that's not so bad. I was so exhausted from the previous night's lack of sleep plus lingering TOM, I almost blew off my workout. But I switched gears to a shorter one and got 'er done! I never regret having done that. =)

I'm trying to stay focused and on track today. Shouldn't be too hard. Food is planned as well as a cardio workout tonight.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

You are back on track in great time! I am enjoying the cooldown this week. Low humidity and cool weather. The sun is up and I am off to walk 5K. Have a great day everyone!

Starting out this day a but earlier than I would like on a day off after a closing shift. Breaking my 7+ hours streak, but the no snooze streak remaining intact. Just couldn't sleep - the date is still surreal and may always be. Dealing with too much bad news this week isn't helping either. My sister had her biopsy surgery yesterday, and we found out that she has cancer again (third time) and a good friends son passed away suddenly on Sat and the visitation will be tomorrow. Has my emotions in a bit of a funk, understandably, but the good thing is that I have had no desire to sooth my emotions with food. Had hoped to go for a nice long and challenging run today, but I think today will probably be a yoga class and a short run or some pilates. I'm still quite sore from strength training on Sunday and then ran 5K yesterday on sore legs (probably not a great idea). Got lots of little chores and projects to keep me busy today and hopefully after another good nutrition day, I'll see a little movement on the scale.

good morning, everyone - writing those numbers, that date, brings back memories that none of us will ever forget.

meanwhile, monday was a good day - made it through the work night on a smoothie, had to go back to bed a little earlier than my usual schedule of 6 a.m., and life went back to the usual routine of morning walk (4+ miles) and a few strolls adding up to a mile during the rest of the day. did an SP ST video as a break from work, so still on track with my ST streak. lunch was bean dip, guac and salsa (all homemade) on a bed of spinach, dinner chickpea lemon soup with an incredibly good kale salad (dinosaur kale rubbed with avocado, shredded carrot, dressing of balsamic, dijon mustard, maple syrup). a few snacks (fresh blueberries with soy yoghurt, a couple of macadamia nuts) rounded out the day.

starting today, tuesday with weight back where it was 8 days ago - 103.2, exactly where i want to be, low end of the range.
