Up early on my second day in a row off - NO SNOOZE AGAIN - YEAH!!! Animals fed and out and breakfast done and dress and going off to meet some dear friends for a brief (3 mile) walk/run this AM. Then going to the fair with the sisters......lots of walking there!

hi everyone, checking in to continue the accountability here.

bloat must be my middle name today. water weight seems to just pack on with long flights, and takes a few days to disappear. and hunger seems fairly constant, since your body has no idea what meal it should be eating. trying to fill the hunger with veggies. i didn't think i had eaten poor choices thurs, but evening weight was the top end of my "range" which i haven't seen for a long time. yes, i know it is water, yes, i know it will go away, but i have to *see* the number, or it does not exist. and so i will stay on track.

we had all kinds of energy when we woke up, and started the day by walking almost 6 miles, so that took care of fitness nicely. and since i will *not* give up on my ST streak, i still got in my crunches and wall pushups, of course right before bed. but no energy for a second walk, just ran out of steam. which is typical when i hit sleep deficit.

Today was a very good day! Though I am losing slowly, the weight I had regained is coming off and I am getting better about getting in my fitness. Not quite as gung ho as I have been in the past, but I am appreciating how much better I feel when I allow myself recovery time and the grace to be sure I'm getting adequate sleep. Sure, somedays that means that I miss my work out, but I try to at least get in a few crunches or planks or curls or something on those days. On the days that I can hit the gym or the road I get in anywhere from 1/2 hour to 1 1/2 hours, so all in all it balances out. Did a 1/2 hour 6Pk Abs class and though I'm not as strong as I once was I am seeing some slow progress. I also did a 1 hour spin class. Really not good, but that is in comparison to some of the other "regulars" or the level I was once at. I road my ride and though I could maybe have worked a little harder, I did what I could and burned 400 calories today! Ate very healthy and have leftovers for tomorrow.

Going to the Sandwich Fair with my sisters tomorrow.....if I can just stay away from the fair food. Anyone has suggestions for healthy(er) options?!?! Better bring along some pumpkin seeds and a water bottle.

Thought I was doing well till I ordered what I thought was going to be a reasonable meal for lunch at a Korean restaurant, and it was huge...and I ate it all. Tried to do better by having soup and salad for dinner. Anyway, took sick leave today to bundle some appointments. Got what was supposed to be my monthly blood work (but which I haven't done since April...oops) and had a chiropractor appointment that makes me wonder if I am making progress. My neck feels better, but my lower back feels worse. Looking forward to the weekend!

Good exercise and food day for me yesterday.

DD wanted pasta for dinner. We always use barilla plus but pasta is still a 'scary' food for me. I am pushing the 'balance' thing and I think it's unfair to deprive my family from pasta just because it 'scares' me. So... pasta it was. I also allowed myself 1 of the whole wheat pumpkin muffins I made (under 150 calories) something I also rarely do. I bake and bake and hardly ever treat myself even though I bake as healthily as I can. Another 'balance' thing for me. I was happy to see the scale this morning. I was 0.2 different than yesterday. Up or down... can't remember.

Exercise was the base A workout from The Female Body Breakthrough (whole body strength training) with a warmup on the elliptical and some stretching.

Hi everyone! I need to start participating in these daily check-ins because the extra accountability works wonders for me. Really happy to see so many familiar faces here! I've been doing well lately but have been feeling really bloated the past few days. I think the cooler weather we've had here has made me crave denser food than I normally eat and, although I haven't seen a blip on the scale, I just feel puffed up. I lightened up my food choices today and it seems to have helped a bit. I'm going to dinner tomorrow with my husband and am planning to have my weekly treat meal. After that I think I'm going to stick with the lighter foods for a few days and see if that continues to help.

(Glad you liked the article, ADRIENNIE! emoticon )

Have you read the awesome article about true grit that was in our mailbox today? It was a timely read for me since I just had a 5 day labor day weekend with too little sleep, not enough water and too much food. I didn't gain much according to the scale but I feel kind of bloated. Pick my self up, dust myself off and start all over again!

I'm still doing the bloat thing. I ate lots of veggies and fruit the past two days and apparently I'm still carrying them all around. Haven't had a lot of energy and haven't been getting enough sleep, but have slept better once I finally get to bed! Appointment with the eye doctor today. I think it's finally time for near-sighted me to get bifocals.

Today was not a good weigh in. I am 168.8. Even through I know some of that is sodium, it is a hard number to see. I started to think about what that number means to me...

Yesterday was ok food wise. Not great since we had dinner out. I was pretty good all day and had a petite sirloin (no maison butter), mashed potatoes and tomato mozzarella salad (it's new on the menu and yummy). Since we were celebrating a birthday there was some ice cream passed around the table but I probably ate a quarter cup. I did have a snack later and I'm sure I put myself over on calories a bit, but I've been running and working out like a fiend so it's all good.

Yesterday I ran 3 miles before work and manages just over a 12 min mile pace.

This morning I did 1 mile in under 12 and then did my ST. Go me!

The week of birthday celebrations will continue with my daughter's on the 10th and mine on the 11th. I hope I can keep the eating in check. My daughter has requested chinese food for her birthday and of course a DQ cake (specially made by her friend with lots of choc crunch).

Hi everyone,

Today is my free Thursday (not in the office) and it is a good thing because my foot was swollen all day yesterday and I need to have it elevated.

Laurie - happy birthday, sure hope you had a good day

Christi - woo hoo on all that water and veggies

Logould - good luck with spin, I am sure it will come back very fast

Waving to everyone, make this a healthy day

Every day I am on the verge of making slight changes that would make all the difference in my life.

Don't make todays choices be tomorrows regret

These mornings where I wake up with over 7 1/2 hours of sleep are the best. I feel like I can accomplish so much today! So, banana, grape, spinach and cottage cheese smoothie is down and I am dressed and out the door soon for abs class/spin and then to find a new pedometer watch and get the nails done. I'll check in later and let you all know how it goes. I haven't done spin in over a year - I'm scared!

Good morning, team!

Yesterday was a pretty good day food-wise. Hubs made enchiladas for dinner, but I had eaten very lean all day, so I enjoyed. I did a pretty intense cardio workout, got 12 cups of water and about 7 freggies. All-in-all, I feel back on track. The trick is to maintain that through the weekend.

Have a great day!
