sunday was the first of many challenging days as we prepare for our journey back to the US, and it was not a good one on many levels - i woke up at 1:30 a.m. and had a complete meal of leftovers from the fridge (probably feeling short on calories from the race the day before), then ate on the train, then had a too-large lunch with friends who were visiting DH when i arrived home, then invited to the neighbors' for dinner - non-vegan choices made at 3 of the 4 meals, not good - and the scale shows it today. if we had not been invited to the neighbors' house, we probably would have stopped after the late lunch, but it was already in the plans.
and exercise was not any better - we only had time for 2 miles.
so that's the whole reason for getting as low as i could when there was time to do it. now it's time to make better choices and get through this week...

Walked 90 minutes today. I was able to walk this far because I had the company of a good friend and we talked the whole way. Granted it wasn't a super fast walk or I wouldn't have been able to carry on a conversation, but I got over my 10,000 step goal for the day.
Tomorrow is a holiday and hubby will be home. I often feel reluctant to take time away from him to get my workout on weekends, though we often walk together and boy does he keep a fast pace! I was able to work out plenty on Sat and Sun, I plan to do my WalkFit DVD tomorrow.
I ate within range all weekend, even though we ate out 3 times. I'm ready for a good week!

Batch cooked yesterday and had plenty of cauliflower pizza crust left over from today which I am enjoying. Just back from church but got bicycling in before and maybe will rollerskate tonight at the rink. Hoping to feel well enough to as been a little under the weather.
