well done resisting those chicken wings, oneweigh!

yesterday was a travel day, and food-wise went well. breakfast at home, simple lunch on train, and dinner with friends in stockholm - pleased that i only filled my plate once (she made masses of indian food). kept to one glass of wine - thinking about race day.

exercise i skipped ST but will NOT break my streak, will do them today (streak is for 3x week, and saturday is still this week. walking - DH and i took a short walk at home before i left, then here in stockholm had the walk to and from the station (in the rain!) to pick up the race packet. with everything i figure on 3 miles for the day, so that will do.

and today (saturday - my main spark time is mornings) is race day! 10k with 32,000 other women!

I DIDN'T go to Safeway to buy their $5 Friday chicken wings, even though someone had them at lunch and they looked really good and I've been craving fried chicken all week. Will someone pin a medal on me? emoticon emoticon Happy Friday everyone and enjoy the (long) weekend!

I have done well this week. However, I've slipped to 139.4. A little stress and I lose now. I used to be an emotional eater and now I'm the opposite. I guess that it's better than mindlessly eating.

Yesterday was tough, left the house for work at 6:30AM and by the time I finished work, the gym, grabbed a bite to eat and then lighting practice at church, I didn't make it home until after 10 - fell into bed and was asleep by 10:30, then woke up briefly when my sis came home but right back to sleep. I was EXHAUSTED though, so even though I didn't snooze, I didn't make it up before 5 to work out at all. I have gotten in my fitness minutes for the week already, and I seem to have pulled something in my left quad, so I'm letting it rest today....will do a little core work and get some rest. Planning on heading out to one of my favorite paths tomorrow morning (not too early but before it gets hot) and enjoy a nice long leisurely run. Looking forward to the weekend!

I keep a bowl of packs of assorted flavors of sugarless gum on the island right near where the brownies are parked. I forgot about the gum that day...:(

1200 calories is only 1/3 of a pound, so don't beat your self up. Consider getting some sugarless gum for those times when you want to have an extra snack. If you distract yourself with the gum you may not eat the snack. Good Luck!

We leave island in 36 hours, so the farewell celebrations will end shortly - and then we'll be on the road and walking instead of dealing with errands like selling the cars and all that that entails.

So right now, I'm just maintaining. As best I can. Not losing, but not gaining.

Two days ago I binged. I hadn't done that in ages. It all started with not having had a plan for what my afternoon snack would be. I got into brownies. I generally leave my husband's treats alone, but I blew it. You all talk about going over by hundreds of calories. Try 1200! (I also had seconds of a spazania I made for dinner) Well, I'm just focusing on extra minutes working out and cutting back 300 calories a day for the next week.

Looking forward to a long weekend with hubby. I don't usually have trouble with extra eating when he's home and he also has projects going and encourages me to work out. Today I rejoined the Y and plan to go for a nice swim in the morning. I've missed swimming and the elliptical.

Was hoping I would make my goal weight by labor day but not happening. Not because of my eating though unless I threw things off by eating too little (correcting that last few days). Got thrown this morning as ill, but ended up on stationary bike 30 minutes anyways and glad I did. Of course a little disappointed about my goal, but it was probably unrealistic as I am looking to break my setpoint and I really felt it would take longer. Am still learning lots about myself and sticking to the discipline to learn all I can so good day after all.

Let's see -- I forgot to eat lunch today -- it's 2:30 -- better get some lunch. I didn't lose all of my weekend weight, but am down somewhat. Concentrating on making good choices today. Have a great weekend

Rachel, I'm sure you'll do fine with opening up a bit with those around you. You've been very successful at losing weight and I'm sure if you turn your mind and determination to this new goal, you'll be equally successful.
Hey, you can even try out your small talk on us if you want?!

For me, today was a good day. I had a good workout this morning and am on track with my nutrition track. No complaints!

Oh it was one of my side goals this month. since hitting my goal weight I've found I needed to work on other goals to help me be the best me I can be I guess.

I'm terribly shy and have a very hard time making friends. when I first lost the weight I had people coming up to me all the time, talking to me and asking me how I did it. It was a nice change.. to feel a little less awkwardness when talking to people, I had confidence for the first time in my life! but things have slowed down now and I know in order to keep making friends and keep the friends I have I need to work on it. I'm just not a naturally social person but the person who I want to be is not only skinny but friendly ( maybe not crazy out going I am still me after all but I think friendly and personable is an achievable goal ) so I'm working on it. emoticon

I'm so glad I'm not the only one here who has a problem with grazing. I know it always get me in big trouble lol

Good day so far today. I walked the kiddo to school then ran home and it was an amazing little run! crisp air, my new phone and earphones sound amazing!! everything smells fresh! I just about skipped the gym and kept right no running but in the end I decided I needed the ST so off I went to the gym for my weight taring. did pretty good ( expect biceps.. man I need to work on those ) eating so far is going well I just about over did it on the hummus but I put it away LOL and am now feeling good. other than that just some inter personal stuff. I'm feeling a little distant from my buddies today, I am supposed to be working on social skills so it is troubling me, not sure how to reconnect...

well I'm off for a another little mini run to pick up kiddo.

hope everyone has a good day talk to you soon!

Although I don't wish bad eating on anyone, I'm just glad I'm not alone. I've done too much grazing and not enough exercising this week. Would have been okay yesterday but decided to have a second beer after dinner with DH, and that put me over on calories by about 100.

Did exactly what I was afraid I'd do yesterday--delayed dinner until after I'd dropped my husband off at the football game. I was too hungry to decide so I ate one thing, and then another, and then another. It could have been worse, but coupled with an ice cream social at work, it made for an overage of about 500 calories for the day. In other news, the new kitten who loves nothing more than snuggling up around my head has ringworm. emoticon emoticon Since we've had him almost a month, there isn't anything or anyone he hasn't touched, so at this point we're just going to treat him and hope for the best. Trying to disinfect the entire house and isolating him would be kind of cruel and probably ineffective anyway. Good thing he's cute and loveable!

Stellar day yesterday. Eating was on track and I ran 4 miles last night. First time ever. I was so excited to finish in 46:09. I bettered my mile average by 8 seconds.

This running thing is FUN!

I can identify with the grazing ... But I've been doing some of it between meals lately. emoticon Scale is good, but that won't continue if the grazing doesn't

Good morning! My eating just haven't been how it should be these days. I ate a bag of chips. I blame it on not having any snack foods in the house. And, when I say I have nothing to eat, I really don't. I am a college student and am really poor for the moment. Putting that aside, I am going home for the weekend and bringing home my boyfriend for the first time. It will be a nice break from here! emoticon

Good morning! On days like yesterday maybe you should track as you go so that you have a more solid idea about how much you actually ate. In any case one day of having calories off will not derail you. Have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning, team! Ready for a long weekend?

Yesterday's eating was a little off-base. DH has a stomach bug, so I ended up grazing for dinner. That's pretty dangerous for me. Then my son came home around 10 pm with leftover pizza and I had a slice of that. At least I had a good cardio workout that burned off some of that pizza. LOL

Today's plan? Move forward and do better. At least the pizza isn't showing on the scale this morning.
