Thanks for pointing out the addition to the team name. I wouldn't have noticed. Great day... walk with sister this morning, split a sandwich with her at lunch, baseball game this afternoon and walked 75 min. in the Botanical Gardens this evening.
Its been a good day. my calories are well in check and I did yoga and zumba today. I got a decent amount of sleep last night though I did get to bed latter than I had hoped. and I did wake up for a short time probably around 3-4am still I manage 7hrs. I did run into a mid-day crash could have something to do with my broken sleep

i read the first chapter of the "no S diet" - no snacks, no sugar, and no second helpings, except on saturday, sunday or special occasions - and since it was saturday, well, decided to put it into practice. also, with ten miles in yesterday, i was still losing weight today, and actually felt low on calories. breakfast was the usual soy yogurt, nectarine, musli and chia seeds, lunch zuchini broccoli soup with white beans, plus beet and spinach salad. by mid afternoon very hungry, had another bowl of soup (really, all veggies). calories still low. we went chantarelle (wild mushroom) picking in the forest for 2 hours before dinner, and enjoyed a nice glass of wine or two while cleaning them - plus some (ahem!) potato chips! dinner was wild mushrooms on toast, desert green grapes.
and tomorrow is another day - weight is still good, 8 miles walked today, so i expect everything to be within range even tomorrow. which is another day, ready to start over.

Started the day with oatmeal, then a 3.5 hr hike. (blog & pics coming soon). Tried One of the sandwich ideas from the 7 Great Sandwich blog ... Grilled pizza. So-so ... Didn't have enough flavor for me. It added a few dried blueberries and a fiber one bar. We're going to the kids' house for dinner, so I'm planning for a glass of white wine. D.i.l. Cooks really health, so I don't worry too much about overheating there. Happy Sat. Everyone!

Yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day. Eating was on track, even with a couple of beers. I had a stressful commute home with normal Friday traffic accompanied by rain and Panthers game traffic. My commute is normally an hour, but it took over an hour and a half. After stopping at the supermarket for dinner ingredients, I managed the stress with a cardio workout.
Even though I only used 5# weights and did no shoulder moves, I woke up with my shoulder screaming. It's becoming frustrating. I'm going to continue the ibuprofen and re-evaluate Monday. Not sure what I'll do for exercise today, if anything, other than clean the house.
My main goal for today is to get at least 8 cups of water. I don't know why I struggle with that on the weekends. I barely got it in yesterday. We are probably going to a farm-league baseball game tonight. That is always a challenge. I usually eat something before we go, and just have a beer or two there.
