congrats to peri! it was a great blog indeed, and wishing a speedy recovery to the sick and achy people.
love the quote about living the healthiest lives we can enjoy living - that's really what it is all about.
it was a good day - DH and i ran/walked/ran 6.6 miles this morning, fjord dipped, worked a few hours, then shopped after lunch in a small town that we reach by boat (10 minutes) instead of by car (40 minutes). it makes grocery shopping much more fun (and strength training at the same time, carrying the bags home up the hill). now we have a fridge refilled with lots of good freggies. dinner in the garden, followed by an evening walk - and we saw a mama moose with two calves across a field - pretty amazing!
have a great weekend!

Dinner will be at Chipotle tonight. Thank goodness for their nutrition calculator. www.chipotle.com/en-us/menu/nutritio n_ calculator/nutrition_calculator.aspx I find that they (like most restaurants) tend to serve more food than the nutrition calculator implies. However, when I order the salad or tacos, the "containers" (bed of lettuce or shells) tend to limit how much of the toppings they can add without overflow. ;) The exception to this would be the guacamole, but I will be politely requesting "half a scoop".

Anja, I hear ya. Coming off illness, I always have to remind myself that I can't come back at 100%!
Celia, good for you for enjoying your evening out and not stressing over it. One meal does not undo a week of good eating. That reminds me of a quote by Dr. Yoni Freedhoff, who I follow on twitter... “The goal is not to eat a perfect diet but to live the healthiest lives we can enjoy living.”
Christie, glad the good drugs are helping your shoulder. Anja, get well soon!
I've had a good fitness week so far, and eating has been okay, except for last night. When I have a hot date with hubby, I don't bother tracking, so I know I went way over, but I had eaten lightly before dinner, so it wasn't a total blow-out. So far today I'm eating well, and we don't have any dinners out planned till late next week.
Congrats to PERIWINKLE88 for her Popular Blog Post Award!
Yesterday was a pretty good day for me. The mega doses of ibuprofen seem to be helping the shoulder. Now I just have to resist the urge to lift weights... LOL. I ate pretty well, although could have had more freggies. I did a lower body circuit workout, and my legs feel heavy this morning.
Today's food is all planned out, and I will either rest or do a short cardio tonight. My Panthers are playing a preseason game tonight, so I have to resist the urge to mindlessly snack during the game.
