Oh my gosh, thanks so much for the link, Swede_Su! :-D
I had been trying to think of how to make the cauliflower at home, and you just saved me some trial and error! The kale chiffonade in that link looks great too.

I just got back from two days out of town. I ate about 100 calories extra per meal, but to me that's pretty good considering we had to eat every meal out and I didn't get to pick any of the restaurants.

Today I am eating light to help balance things out. Funny how the healthy food I cook at home is so much more filling per calorie than restaurant food. :P :P

One cool thing I ate over the weekend was grilled/broiled(?) cauliflower. They sliced the whole cauliflower head thickly from top to bottom, making a sort of cauliflower steak. It was beautiful and delicious!

I ate well below calories range yesterday and am headed that way again today. Will have to beef up supper not to go too low. That being said I had a real snack fast while watching the Olympics and on the two days I attended my local fair so I have a couple of pounds extra to get rid of. I gave up watching TV as it was a big snack trigger. I really don't miss it.

I came in low this morning, thank goodness. I made a pie yesterday for the motorcycle group; we are drinkers, so beer isn't the attraction, it's pie. I had a slice of my peach-blueberry pie at 2:30, so I skipped dinner altogether. I just couldn't face food after pie. I hope I can remember that lesson next year when I make another pie.

Swede. loved reading your post. It sounds to me as if you have made physical activity an important part of your life. Have fun on the Sept. 1st run.
Haven't been in Sweden for six years and can't wait to get back again. First time there was just after I reached goal and I loved all the wonderful fish I could get.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

hi everyone!
well, though i joined this team in june at what i originally set as my goal, i decided to go a bit lower - and today, for the first time, i saw that magic number on the scale. and it arrived just one day after the goal date on the weight tracker - not bad!

it was a strange day, i had to drive DD and her BF to the airport at 3 a.m., then came home and went back to sleep. then we went for a 4.5 mile walk with DS before *he* left for an afternoon flight after lunch. while they were gone, i went for a 3.45 mile run, which was on the tough side - i prefer running in the a.m. before breakfast, but we wanted to spend the time with DS plus i am running a 10K in the afternoon on sept 1. came home just as DH returned from airport and we went down to the fjord (great place to cool legs after run). lunch and dinner were both leftovers from the kids' farewell party - i made far too much salsa and black bean dip, healthy stuff. and then one more walk after dinner to mail a letter that was left behind for a total of 10 miles today. phew!

anyway, i am here to learn - reading old threads to figure out what comes next, because i am *not* going to go back up again, this time!

HI all just got back from a killer round of kickboxing!! I love that class so much! wish it didn't wipe me out for the whole day after. I need to figure out how to keep my energy up after that class.

Eating went ok yesterday and while my weight was up a notch this morning it was down a lb and a half after Kick-It so I'm guessing it was all just water.

I told my friend that i was thinking of possibly dropping another 5-10 she said 10 is way to much. I already weigh less then her. ( shes supper skinny and has legs that go on forever!! ) I reminded her I'm also a foot shorter... but it did make me feel good that she thinks I'm that close to optimal, I know she wouldn't blow smoke, shes just not that kind of person she'll tell you the brutal honest truth. I love her :)
She also offered to share her personal trainer time with me on Tuesdays which would totally solve my Tuesday dilemma but its a bit spendy so I don't know yet, I'll have to see if I can round up some money.

Had a great day yesterday: cardio, ST, yoga and calories in range. It felt really good, and I was jazzed at the amount of cleaning and de-cluttering I got done while DH was away for the weekend.

Good morning, team... hope everyone had a great weekend.

I ate a little heavy yesterday... TOM played a role... and it shows on the scale this morning. I'm buckling down today and trying to drink more water. I had a nice cardio workout yesterday. I'm going to do a circuit workout tonight.

Let's kick this week off and crush our goals!!!
