Good afternoon from Colorado! It's mid-80s, sunny, a very pleasant day! We'll take our kids' dog back to them later (they did a camping/rock climbing weekend) and then I'll get my walk in after dinner. Had a great hike yesterday and am taking 3 people from church on a hike tomorrow morning. They are from Taiwan and haven't made it into our mtns yet. We'll only go 1/2 hr west into the foothills, but I'm sure we'll all enjoy the Mt. Falcon trails. Still recovering from some mindless eating while at the conference Th/Fri ... hope my weigh-in tomorrow morning isn't too far from my target weight on this challenge.

Good Sunday afternoon to the 5%!

I'm Carol and I just joined this team after an invite from 4AHEALTHYBMI...although I must admit I have previous lurked on your threads and read your stuff, but never joined. I've kept 60 pounds off for almost 4 years...and now I'm working to keep 65 off...a real challenge. I struggle with weekend eating, like most. AND, I've upped my strength training and my protein, which means more calories during the week. All that has put me at the top of my maintenance range...not where I like to be. I'd love to say the weight gain is muscle, but after only 3 weeks, I'm not sure I can claim that.

Today is a rest day for me. I do plan to tackle a flower bed later today after it cools off a bit...I'm in Florida and it is frickin' HOT today.

Nell your making my mouth water!!

So far today I'm doing well but I am feeling lazy. at some point we need to get out for our hike. I think I'll wait til the house gets crazy hot again then head up really high see if we can escape the heat :)

Cloudy and little rainy here... but we really need it... grass finally looks a tad green. Today is our 45th wedding anniversary.... so I am not too into tracking... but I still plan to keep track as best I can.
Have had a great start to the day. DH is off playing tennis and when I am finished with Sparking, I plan to do a 30 minute meditation.... a really challenge for me.

It's gorgeous here and warm with NO rain! Unusual around here.
Taking my dog to a doggie get together across the border in Oregon then for a long walk on the beach.
I will have a light eating, long walking day. Got fresh fruit and veggies from the Farmer's market yesterday. emoticon

Today is a rest day.
After yesterday's hike, which really kicked my butt due to the heat, I feel a bit drained today.
Not hungry either.
I'll stop by the church picnic in a couple of hours to socialize a bit. See if they have anything good to eat.

First challenge of the day was going to a breakfast buffet with my husband and one of our sons. I did pretty good - lots of fruit and 1/3 muffin. Smorgasbords add up quickly!

I believe in myself, I am a strong woman. I will reach my goals, NOTHING & NOBODY will hold me down. I will live my life with integrity and intention. Good morning everyone. I am getting ready to have the motorcycle gang over to help hubby install the wire for my new GPS (zumo 665) on my bike. It's very different from the old ones. I'm not sure what Garmin thinks of as "improvement". This group isn't much on beer, so I always make a pie. Today is peach-blueberry, and iced tea. I'll have a taste of the pie and send the leftovers home with them. With a diabetic husband I can't have sweets like that in the house. Better for me, too.

9:56am of Sunday, and breakfast is done! this week snacks is done! and dinner is done too!!!! (crock pot). It should be ready to serve by 4:30ish pm. Savory white bean and spinach soup.

Now getting my weekly beauty treatment.

Throat became scratchy yesterday and it's still that way this morning. Cancelled a kayaking trip today to rest and recover.

Managed to stay at 1950 calories yesterday. It was tough, but I did it. Drank lots of tea.

Today woke up ravenous. Hitting the protein hard and early to control the hunger. Continuing with the fluids.

Beautiful Sunday! The front has gone through and cleaned out the air a bit, so I plan to head out for a walk soon. Ate/drank too much last night, but I had eaten lightly (and healthily) all day, so the day wasn't a total wash, and my exercise consisted of yoga (including a vinyasa section) and vigorous, sweat-inducing cleaning. Today, I've head a healthy breakfast and have gotten a good start on my to-do list after a nice, long Skype chat with DH. Glad he'll be home tonight.

Good morning, team. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Yesterday turned out pretty good. Hubs and I had a rare day together with no one else around. I did a tough circuit workout before we ventured out. Lunch was at a diner where I always get a grilled chicken salad. We got a new fondue pot for football season. I ate lots of veggies, but of course with cheese and bread. I didn't do too bad according to the scale this morning, but sometimes that's a delayed reaction.

I plan to eat light today to make up for the fondue (and accompanying beer). I also plan to do a cardio workout today and possibly push-mowing the yard.
