You can probably go online to the scale manufacturer's website and find the instructions for that scale. It should tell you how to reset the scale to weigh in pounds.

There is probably a little switch on it somewhere... my food scale swaps back and forth between ounces and grams, and I didn't even know it until about two years after I bought it.

It's a measurement used in England. It's equivalent to 14 pounds, so if I do weigh, I have to multiply the number by 14 to get my weight in pounds. Just as well since I intended to weigh only quarterly this year of my life. But I was away for a week and was curious. Actually, it was like this before I left. I'm going to fiddle with it tonight to see if I can get it to go back. Then I'll leave it alone until after New Year's when i have my next weigh-in. emoticon

I have a Tanita scale that's a few years old. All of a sudden, it has started registering my weight in English stones! I have no idea why. I don't remember it getting bumped or anything. Has anyone else had this happen? emoticon
