Back on December 15th, I had hit a low of 122 pounds. This morning, I weighed in at 125.4. My ultimate lifetime goal has been to stay below 125. So I'm hovering on the brink after the holiday season.

If I can't get cravings under control by next Monday, I think I'm going to do a couple of weeks of south beach diet phase 1 to get things back on track.

I was able to maintain, but I had to increase the cardio to do it. My goal in this new year is to continue to build on my workout routine. I want to make it a challenge each and every day.

I stayed in several hotels during the holidays, so I am glad that most hotels have fitness centers and really have to have them in order to compete for business.

I second the motion!! I've never been happier to see the calendar change. For two weeks we haven't had any TOPS chapter meetings and had been eating everything in sight.

At our year-end weigh in I was 2 1/4 pounds below my goal of 145. Today, I gained 1 1/4 pounds but I'm still below my goal. For an old lady of 62 that's not bad!!

Time to get serious!! I'd love to lose more weight so I'll stay under goal all year. KOPS leeway is up to seven pounds under goal, which means I can be at 138 and still be a KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly).

I know that I could not keep my calorie or exercise counter in the "maintain" range. I have to keep the calories lower - that way if I approach the 1700 cal mark, I am still okay. I guess I don't want to move the ticker any lower - I feel good the way I am and haven't been this slim since before babies. I think if I go much thinner I would look too skinny and I don't want that. The beauty of SP is that you can adjust it to do whatever YOU need to!

Here, here to a clean new year! Have no goodies lurking in my household or kitchen! Hit goal right before xmas and maintained reasonably all the way through. Thinking about adjusting my ticker for motivational purposes, so I don't feel I have room to cheat. (Finding myself wanting "sneak" bites of stuff lately.) Anyone else "tricked" themselves this way? ;)

I'm also glad the feasting is over. I had cleared out the remains of the holiday goodies this weekend. Today I went to the store and picked up my usual healthy choices for foods. Feels good to be back in the swing of things!

I was at my parents for the week and gained back some weight (not quite sure yet HOW much). It's amazing how easy it is to go home and slip right back into bad patterns. The only plus is that when we made cookies for my parents, I didn't have any (I did mean to have ONE!) and then we froze them in small batches for my parents to have just a few at a time.

Now that I'm back home, it's amazing how EASY it is to get back on the wagon. I think for 2007 I need to learn to find a comfort zone outside my house so that I continue to eat healthy anywhere.

Even while eating badly, I still managed to fit into a smaller (!!!) size skirt than I ever have (within a brand I wear regularly). If that's not FANTASTIC motivation, I don't know what is!!

Same here with bad habits. I still haven't beaten the cravings, but I'm hopeful that this week, I'll get back on track.

I've backslidden... I reached my goal and was now maintaining, but now I need to lose 10 pounds and firm up.

I let myself eat whatever I wanted during the holidays. I only gained a couple pounds, but I got into bad eating habits. So tomorrow my office mate and I are going to start Atkins induction. Then I am going back to my carb-cycling diet until I can run again and get my mileage back up.

Hi Jan: I have always liked body building but I had a broken rib that was never set when I was a teenager plus I have stretch marks from 4 babies, so I don't think I could ever make it in a competition. I lack symetry and have bad skin. But I am gald to have lean muscles anyway!

I hope you have a great New Year and are able to stay on track with this new goal.

Hey Lenore! Congrats on maintaining! I was able to do the same. My biggest splurge was these last few days. I'm so glad it's all over.

This year I'm training for a figure competition at the end of July. My food focus for 2007 is macro nutrients and the quality of the foods I'm eating. I'm learning how to feed my lean muscle mass and burn my fat reserves.

Best of luck to all in the New Year!

Hello All!!

Happy Hew Year! I, for one, am glad that the feasting is over and I was able to maintain my weight.

What are you plans to give yourself a spark for the new year? Did you fall off and need to get back on? Were you able to maintain but want to learn something new to give yourself a new boost in the New Year?

Lenore
