I agree, Bree. One of the best things about losing weight in a slow, reliable, accountable way is that there is no magic to it. When I pop up a few pounds, I know exactly what to do and how to do it. I no longer have the fear of being out of control.

This month really is flying by. It's nuts!

I'm still maintaining. I haven't gone over my five pound range since I've started maintenance. Although last week (due to a combination of bloating and misbehaving) my weight spiked up to the top of my maintenance range. Today, I'm back to the bottom of that range and I feel great!

Hope all of you are doing well.

Still continuing to maintain give or take 2lbs under or over at times. Weekends or should I say social outings seem to be my downfall. But thankfully my eating habits during the week balance it out.

Wow, cannot believe it is getting so close to the end of March already! Where the heck did that month go??? Anywho...still maintaining even through an little illness. Haven't been exercising too much, but hoping to get back to being more consistent. Way to go all...even with little gains, you are still staying on top of it! Stay in the maintain lane!

Wish I could say or scream happily yes, yes, yes! But no! no! no!
Have had a really bouncy two months...well not too bad but my goal is staying under 54 kilos and have been at 53.9 (yay) back up to 55 (yuck) back down to 54.
Not sure what the verdict is this week - really working at it (had a stomach flu too but that's not the way to go for sure). Have a good one all - we can do this!

Still maintain since November
Still struggling to boost calories up . My body right now likes 1750 to 1900 calories a day. I fluctuate in weight , but it stays relatively the same. I am lifting weights and walking. I just waiting for warmer weather to get on the track or run up and down stairs to boost my metabolism. Any alternative suggestions would be appreciated.
Keep going We all are on the same adventure.

Hi there, Maart! Like you, I've just recently reached my goal weight. emoticon I reached my goal 2/11/11 and have decided to stay right here with SP in order to maintain the weight successfully. I figured that being here on SP is what helped to lose the weight (by tracking all my calories & exercise), so that is what I plan to continue doing. Good luck to you and congratulations for reaching your goal! emoticon

Hi everyone. I haven't dropped off the face of the earth yet. It's been so long since I have posted on any of my teams. Just needed to take a Spark Break for a while. I found I was spending too much time here and not getting things done around the house I needed to pay attention to.Has anyone else had that challenge? I just need to find the right balance for me.

I am still maintaining by my two pound allowance. 125-127. I am very happy with that although this last week I haven't been as careful as I need to be. I usually only have ice cream on Sunday evenings as my special treat, but I had some last night. I just craved it when DH was getting his bowl and I was standing next to him. I'll have a smaller amount tomorrow evening if I want it. emoticon

I just joined this group and just reached my goal -so I guess I could say I am at goal and have maintained for a couple of days. LOL. Looking forward to being able to say maintained for several weeks, then several months, then several years. I'm counting on it.

My winter has been: Hubby had a stroke on Dec 1, then on Christmas Day he fell down the stairs and broke his ankle. Two surgeries later, he now has an incision that won't heal and is on IV antibiotics every day, and may be housebound for another 4 months until he can have yet another surgery to remove the plates. I have lost a lot of weight caring for him and worrying about him.

Cahuno, I am glad your granddaughter is better today. It does end. I keep telling myself that.

Irene, I looked it up. TOPS was founded in 1948 and WW in 1963.

I had my lowest weigh in ever at Weight Watcher this Saturday, 126.0. At home my lowest weigh has been 124.2. I set a goal to maintain between 124 and 129.9 for all of 2011. So far I'm doing it!!

Not at goal, but maintaining a 15-lb. weight loss from last year. Not giving up on my first goal, 154 lbs. Haven't found that setting dates works. Still tweaking. Thanks to all here for being an inspiration! emoticon

What is TOPS? Js curious:)

As far as calories go, I'm enjoying the more laid back feeling of not having to stick so closely to only 1200 calories as I had done before (not that I was always able to stick to that, but I tried to.) Now I try to stick closer to the 1400, but admit that each days calories are different....so I am naturally fluctuating. I'm thinking that that fluctuation is a good thing. I exercise daily, but have changed it to walking every other day (which burns less calories...cept I'm lovin' that Leslie Sansone DVD I just power-walked to!) Trying to change it up from time to time and keep it interesting. So far so good. I feel fat today (bloated) and wouldn't mind actually losing a few more pounds. But, whatever. We shall see. Not actively trying to lose, just trying to tone and keep moving.

Just add a few more calories at a time like 100 of healthy food and see how it goes. You will soon find your range. I want to be below my goal as I belong to TOPS and can go 7 pounds below and still be in Leeway. My problem is that I can only gain 3 pounds to be in leeway and I get close to it sometimes.

While I haven't paid a lot of attention to the scale of late, I weighed myself yesterday and thought I was actually down a pound from my goal weight. Having just reached my goal a couple weeks ago, I'd be happy to lose a few more pounds....but am not trying to at the moment. Right now I'm just trying to figure out the right calorie range...

Nell, then you are out of leeway and your goal. You have two weeks to get back in or if you want to change your goal weight you can go to your doctor and ask him to change it and write it on a prescription sheet. You hand this to the weight recorder and your goal weight will then be changed.

I am at goal and maintaining. Lost 2 1/2 pounds las week (water) but I seem to get dangerously close to going over goal.
I belong to TOPS also and we can go three pounds over or 7 pounds under and still be in Leeway.
But if we don't go over our goal weight for a year we get an award. I would like to do that.

It's heartening to hear how many of you are below your original goal. I guess nowadays people know they don't get down and then go back to the way they used to live. Plus, people are modest with their loss goals, which I think is more sane. Congrats to all. emoticon

Wow! You'll be running half a marathon! What an accomplishment. I'm a little bit jealous.....smile.... Good luck to you this Saturday.
We can measure our success by the cloths we wear, by our muscles that are stronger, by taking measurments, by the scale, and I'm sure there are more ways to measure our success at maintaining.

Love your sentence: " I'm not just maintaining, I'm progressing and will continue to"
I'm sure you'll!.

I'm mostly maintaining. I'm 5 lbs. over my lowest weight that I was in fall but I consider it normal in colder climates to gain a few pounds in the winter. I largely ignore the scales and only weigh myself once a month but my muscles are stronger and the belly fat is almost gone plus I'm running my first Half-marathon this Saturday! emoticon
I'm not just maintaining, I'm progressing and will continue to. emoticon

I haven't been on the scale for months! emoticon

That is because I was really struggling at the tail end of 2010. I decided to focus first on living binge-free and practice mindful eating for a while. I've been making a lot of progress. Signed up for my first 10k has kept me motivated to run and gradually push myself. I realized after reaching goal in 2009 I spent 2010 selling myself short. NO MORE! I've added strength and I'm looking forward to becoming stronger inside and out. emoticon

I honestly haven't been on the scale for 3 weeks. emoticon My clothes still fit so I guess that's good. It's been crazy lately and I am feeling overwhelmed and depressed! I need to turn this around so wish me luck and lots of prayers!

Awesome job maintaining everyone! emoticon

I am below goal and maintaining. And still keeping that diary. All the good days and the occasional bad day in blue and white on spiral bound paper for nobody but me to see.

I can fool myself but I can't fool the diary.

I am near the top of my range, but within. That is, today. I seem to constantly shift up and down a few pounds. I am trying to keep to a good exercise schedule now that I have the WiiFit and that is helping me stick to the exercise. And it's fun.

I am at goal and maintaining, but am looking for fun ways to keep active. Decided I would work with a trainer. That seems to be pretty motivating.

Looking forward to hearing from all the other team members!
