Yes, at goal and maintaining for January 2011! I loved the holiday break so much and am trying to transition back into working everyday. No weight gain over the holidays - still working on toning and exercise emoticon Best wishes to all...I don't think those holiday pounds stick around, they will be history in no time!emoticon

I identify with MommyFitness on this one. I already chucked a box of See's candies while they weren't looking. :-/

I'm up 4 lbs. :( Bummed, but making a point of getting back on track. I stopped counting calories a while ago b/c it makes me a little crazy, but I told myself that if this happened (for multiple daily weigh-ins, not just a one-day spike) that I would start tracking again. So today I track to get back on track...

"Everything in moderation, including moderation."
- Oscar Wilde

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way..." -

I made it through the season of candy relatively unscathed. I withing my goal range still. Now to figure out how to maintain it in the long run. I've only been here for a bout 6 weeks, so I'm not at all confident of the long term.

Um, well I managed to gain 3 pounds this week. Very frustrating! I plan to get back on track and I just threw out most of the tempting sweets in the house. I have warned the family if the want the rest they better eat it before I toss it!

Absolutely! This is not a one mis-step and you are done kind of thing. The most important thing is to recognize where the extra weight is coming from and remove the extra calories. Re-group after the holidays and keep going.

NO! I'm up several pounds over the last month and I am not happy. I don't feel like I have done all that bad, still maintaining all my good habits and have not slid back into bad habits. Just too many sweets and bigger meals than I am used to. Still exercising, even more than usual since I am off work until the 3rd.

I DO NOT like the feeling of putting on pants that were perfect a month ago and now they are tight. I can't go back up, I can't stand to grow out of my pants again, I can't let this happen!!!!

Help!

I'm doing pretty good, despite indulging in sweets that are not normally part of my diet. It's hard not to go crazy when my favorite things are in easy reach in the kitchen. I stepped on the scale this morning and expected a bad surprise, but I'm less than a couple of pounds off my goal so I'm happy!

I'm all over my teams and blogging today. I know thats what I need to do and I'm doing it. I'm so happy to have this site to post instead of eat. I'm bummed about the effects of prednisone on my body and mind. I feel so bad about this weight gain, of about 10 jean sizes. I know its the medicine but it is still there. I'm doing what I'm supposed to do but I know it's gonna take time. Thanks for being there to support me.

Have a healthy day!

I'm really excited about the new Weight Watchers plan. I feel back in control 100% for the first time in months. We'll see how it goes at the scale soon. We'll see if I can sustain the excitement or at least compliance!

I got really close to reaching my goal and then Thanksgiving happened. Actually, I can't blame Thanksgiving. I blame myself for choosing to ignore my goals and revert to an unhealthy lifestyle. I'm 5 pounds away from my goal and I hope to get closer over the holiday season, not further away!

Congrats to all you successful maintainers. To those who are struggling a bit, hang in there.

Guess I'm talking to me, too. I'm within my range at 130 but near the top of it. I'd like to lose 4 pounds. I have declared that a no gain holiday is fine for me. I can wait til January to get back to my happy weight.

Well, I was at goal weight at the beginning of October. However, since I started a new teaching job in September, it has been difficult to find time to workout, and I haven't been eating as healthy as I was or tracking my food at all, so...

I am up about 6 pounds, and 5 pounds over my goal range. Didn't gain any over Thanksgiving, though, so that is motivating!

Congratulations on running a half marathon.
Let's give you the full credit: Half a marathon is 13.1 miles and not 12 miles. Even more WOW!

Congratulations to anyone who gained some weight. You caught it up early enough and you can change it if you really want to.

I'm in my maintenance range. I eat healthier and ex

I hate to admit it, but I am over my high end goal weight by three pounds this morning. I have been sitting too much (doing some computer work for Christmas) and not really tracking my eating. Today I start paying attention and will be more mindful of my activity and eating.

No unfortunately I have gained 6 pounds since reaching my goal weight and I am now a couple of pounds above my self-defined "maintenance range." I think it is primarily due to my Half Marathon Training which is really in high gear now with my race being just 10 days away. I'm creating a lot of muscle and I am eating a lot of carbs which retain a lot of water. Plus, I have trouble staying within even the generous bounds of my maintenance calorie range. There's just something about a 12 mile run that makes me ravenous!

I can't believe it is December already! As for me, yes, I am still maintaining. Actually, I have been at goal for over a year now, but I am at my lowest weight in ages. :-)

Reached my goal November 2009!

Weight Watchers worked for me and now I work for Weight Watchers.

It is a life style, not a life sentence.
