I am so sorry for you loss and praying for you and your family during this grieving process. In my grieving process I learned to give myself time and hold tight to Jesus. May you learn all that He desires you to during this time.

2 Timothy 1:6-7(NIV)
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

I am so grateful for all of you, my dear friends . I feel you all around me. My husband Arjay had a good suggestions when he said to write here o n Spark. You all have been so much too. Eileen, thank you for your suggestion. We'll see how I do. You had so much to go through as well. I used to teach the stages of grief when I worked in mental health for 19 yrs. But I admit it is still different when it is you that is affected.

I leave for Pa from Tampa tonight at 7:30. I'll be back on Sat.

Love you all. emoticon

At some point, you might want to think about a grief support group. If you're interested, contact Hospice.

I didn't know about them when my mother died of Altizimier's. However, six months later my girlfriend's husband died of cancer a week before their 25th anniversay. She went to a grief support group.

Within the next year my sister died of sucide. It was a very hard time emotionally for me. I reached out and did a grief support group. It helped in two ways. One I learned more about the grief process (it's longer than you or others may think) and was with other people going through the same thing. It was not a magic cure for my pain. But it would have been worse for me if I hadn't gone.

Take care of yourself and be easy on yourself emotionally. A lot of thought processes will be affected (easy to loose things) while your system is dealing with the emotional shock.

Take care!

I'm so sorry - I lost my mother 6.5 years ago.

It's never easy but going in her sleep is best.

I said a prayer for you.

I am so very sorry with the loss of your precious mom. My mom passed away about 2 years ago so I know the pain and the emptiness. God will be with you every step of the way in your grieving and may you feel the comfort as He wraps His arms around you. God bless.

Elayne Mae,
Adding my condolences to you for your loss. I don't think we're ever really ready to say good-bye, even when we know it's coming. May your faith keep you strong, and your memories comfort you.

Elayne Mae,

My deep condolences to you on your loss. The love of your family and friends and the faith you speak of will sustain you, and all those who have already felt the loss of a mother or father will hold you tenderly in their hearts.

Elayne Mae,

You, your father, your siblings and all other family members have my deepest sympathy and empathy. It's a tough road to travel even when we know it's coming.

Your beautiful mother lives on in all of her children and their children. May you find comfort in that and the memories you have stored away.

I know I will lose my mother soon, too. She's 92 and very frail. We who have been fortunate to have our parents around for all these years must face the same sadness and that means we are in this together. Blessings on your and your family.

Mary

emoticon I just need to write now. My Mom died tonight in her sleep. She was 84. I'm grateful she died peacefully. I'm so glad I was just back in Pa. to see Mom and Dad just about 6 weeks ago. She was a wonderful lady. Had the most beautiful smile. You can see her picture on my gallery. My brothers will call me tomorrow and let me know what the arrangements are and will help me get to Pa once again from Fl. Someone has to pick me up in Philly. I wanted to let all my Spark friends know. My Dad will be so lost. He just turned 91 on July 2. I'm in a daze right now. At lose ends so I listened to my husband's suggestion that I come and write. I do have faith and I believe and know she is with God and the rest of my family and her parents. I know that...it's still hard. But I'll be ok.
