Just remember , eat slowly and enjoy your meal . Try to pick meals that fill you up and have less fat content If you can cook it is easier but most eating places can provide low cal,low fat food.Forgo the fat desserts and walk when you can. Relax and don't beat yourself up if you go off track The important thing is get back on track when you get home. Remember you are number one and just let your family know you need their support. Have fun! You will be able to enjoy yourself

Well, I'm happy to say I have made that wonderful turn into my maintenance range, just Tuesday!
Since I'm at the upper end, though, I'm still gonna be on the 'losing' side of things, for awhile longer. Not much..just 4.5 - 6.5 more pounds, MAX! Then I will slide on into 'steady maintenance mode'.
It's just good to be back!!

It seems that I get lazy about reporting in all the time. I am still monitoring my food intake and exercises but just been too lazy to sign in. I read all your emails and that is an inspiration to keep on track. Hope you all are having a good spring. I am really glad so many of us are doing so well. It is an exciting life style change.

The scale has finally dipped below 145 to 143.6lbs! Only 8lbs to goal weight.
I have re-evaluated what I was eating and eliminated the dried fruit... and am still watching my portions and making other small changes.
As for exercise - I do cardio 5 days a week and have been ensuring I get in 2-3 ST a week. Now I'm working on toning up my body. But I can do this, and I will...

As far as dealing with the last pounds, my suggestion is to truly quit dieting. Focus on improving your nutrition. Eat more naked food, less processed food. Decrease your sodium if you need to. Make sure you are getting enough fiber without getting too much. Track every nutrient on SP. Know that it is just a rough estimate and don't get obsessed, but look for recurring overages and underages and find out what foods you need.
Step up the activity. If you aren't strength training regularly, get SP to generate you a program and/or join a gym where you feel comfortable and get some individual attention from fitness experts you respect. If you are strength training, is it time to add weight/reps?? Vary your cardio. Add at least 10 minutes daily to what you are already doing -- or 6 times a week if you need/want a day of rest.
Those are my suggestions. Might work for you. Won't hurt.

Your message really is familiar. I started at 145 and am at 131. I'm 5'1 and would be happy about 10# less. I'm 39 so don't see myself at 107 again be when younger yo yo'd with those numbers. I work out 3 or 4 times a week and just need some tips for those last few #'s.
Have a healthy day!

This morning I hit 145.2 & was so happy! I would like to get to 140 & just give myself 3#'s & if I get to 145 cut back on foods & track my foods. My DH says I need to stay at 145. This winter has been a struggle & I have let myself gain too much. I feel so much better being thin than having that extra weight! It is a STRUGGLE! Anne

Very interesting reading all the messages. There are more keeping their weight off than those who have not. I am sorry to report I seem to be having a very hard time keeping my weight off but I am not giving up & will keep fighting the battle! I seem to be confused as to what is the correct weight for me to be. Have a Dr appointment next month & plan to ask her. I feel I want to give myself a 3# space & then get tough! But I have been having a battle with myself. We must keep up maintaing & whatever makes us happy. I do not intend to give up. Anne

I am maintaining my weight I have not gained a pound in 5 days since I hit my goal weight. Sparks nutrition has absolutely been "key" for my success so far. It is fun planning out my meals and if I choose to have apples and peanut butter with figs and almonds for dinner I can and it feels like I'm cheating. :)

Wax on; wax off. Staying within my 4 pound maintenance range. Actually staying at the bottom 2 pounds. Longing for warmer weather and the ability to exercise outdoors. I'm feeling more hopeful and positive about "maintenance".

I've made a decision today that I'm going to work on maintaining for now. I'm unsure if I want to/can lose more weight. It's been really tough and going too low on calories triggers my eating disorder so I don't really want to go there. I've been focusing on increasing exercise which has increased my hunger so I'm just trying to listen to my body right now and not force weight loss. I think maybe next month I will start working slowly for those last 3-4 pounds but I'm making March a maintenance month!!
My goals for this month are to be consistent with exercise, be honest about the calories I consume and really try to stay within my range (this past week all forms of chocolate have been screaming my name, though it is just about "that time of the month"). I also need to increase my water intake. I'm really bad with drinking water!!

Back on track to losing the "neglect weight" I've gained over 8 months of inattention & self-disrespect. I set myself some goals in Jan, and in Feb focused on tracking food and mileage which stopped the gain.
March is the month I turn the corner and start pushing the weight down!

I have been maintaining for 6 years. This year since Thanksgiving has been hard. Everything tastes so good. I lost my husband a year ago, and just started cooking again. I cook low fat, but I am just eating slightly more than I should. I have to make some adjustments here! It's "only" about 1/2 lb. a month, but we all know where that goes if it is allowed to continue.

I am slightly below my goal of 140, but I'm trying to go a bit lower so I can hit my WW official goal which is also 140. Since they won't let me weigh in unclothed (party poopers), I need to be lower sans clothing. It's all because I'm a cheapskate. I want to make lifetime at WW so I can weigh in and be accountable and not have to pay for the rest of my life.

I started February 1.8lbs above maintenance range, spent the month up and down (mostly up) the scale again, and began this month 1.4lbs above maintenance range.
Things I need to do to get back into maintenance range:
1. Eat out no more than 3 times per week (I ate out 6 times last week) -- which leads to #2...
2. Make sure I get a to go box when the food is served so I'm not tempted to eat the whole thing right then and there.
3. Do not eat the candy at work. I can still have candy/chocolate at home since I tend to control myself better there.
4. Continue to drink water, exercise regularly, and track nutrition honestly.
