Congratulations! Not pathetic! Wonderful! I have a couple of pairs of jeans now that really "helped" in their own way, when I fit into them. And I own a dress that was so far off my radar before...well. Not even would have been considered. Just trying that sucker on makes me feel spectacular. I think it really helps you to start to see yourself.
"If you can't be thankful for what you receive, be thankful for what you escape."
"Be who you are and say what you feel, 'cause those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." Dr. Seuss
"Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them -- every day begin the task anew." Saint Francis de Sales
That is wonderful -- enjoy those jeans, you look great!

Congratulations. I hope you had a wonderful time at the party. Those jeans will become a sort of trophy for you. Sometime just for the fun of it, read the young adult novel, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Jeans do have power!
