Re; the Oprah Mag articles

You don't pitch to Oprah. Oprah invites you. Sucks for an outsider like m'self; on the other hand, that's how she keeps the quality so high.

But yeah, giving a shout-out to the SP folks and the upcoming book. I'm sure they're working on it already ... but having the public ask for it too will help them out a lot. Can't hurt.

Love Oprah mag (not the show so much) -- and frankly am more interested in maintaining weight loss/life after weight loss than in losing weight - most of us can lose weight and have done it lots and lots of times, it's keeping it off that's tough -- and I bet life after weight loss is more of an issue for Oprah too! Russ, why don't you try selling Oprah mag an article on the topic . . . .

But if it's possible to provide the link that works for the show topic -- willing to give it a shot.

Great idea - but I'm afraid the link didn't work for me and all I could find was a place where you could write in if you want to be on the show yourself (I don't!)

Sounds like a plan! Trying things always makes things possible that couldn't have been fore.

After that, a followup discussing the difference betweeen keeping weight off and life after weight loss and asking yourself "Now what?"

Help out SP and A fellow maintainer with an extra two minutes?

There is a link on Oprah.com where anyone can write in and suggest a show topic. Here's the link:
https://www.oprah.com/ord/plugform.jsp?p

I just wrote to Oprah at that link and suggested making SparkPeople and Chris Downie a show topic.

Here's what I wrote (simple and to the point):

Please consider having a show about SparkPeople.com and it's founder Chis Downie. His vision has created a website that has encouraged 1,000's of people around the world to lose weight and live healthier lives. He has just written a new book, that won't be released until after Christmas, but is already on Amazon's best seller list. The book is called: The Spark: The 28-Day Breakthrough Plan for Losing Weight, Getting Fit, and Transforming Your Life.
Thank you,
[my name]

It's easy to write to her. Let's do it and get Chris on the show!!
