Funny thing has happened. Sometimes when I am sticking with my "meat, vegs, fruit" meals, I get hungry sooner...3 or 4 hours later. But when I eat meat and a starch (steak and potatoes), I may not be hungry later but I am sooo sleepy! If i have cake and ice cream (fat and sugar), I want more sweets in about 6 hours!
So I find that if i stick with meat and vegs (being good...), then have cheese or fruit later ( good fat or glucose), it keeps me satisfied while staying on track...
oh, it only took me 3 years to figure this out....listen to your body!
