I am at my range and having no trouble after a month. I have decided to sloooowwwly drop another couple of pounds and put my range to 108-105.
Biggest fitness accomplishment this week was achieving a VO2 Max score of 61. Previous high: 58. Anything over 53 is "superior" for ages 10-19 and I am considerably older!
Body sculpting, strength training and aerobics are part of everyday life and I am loving it.

First time to post on this thread.

Although I flirted with the 120's for a week or two I honestly hit 129 on Nov 17th.

Maintenance range - 126 - 129.

So far so good - 1 week in my mantenance range.

happy to report the numbers on the scale are slooowly going down, but at least a move in the right direction. AS to breasts I only wish mine would dissapear ! After seeing lots of DR's, & being on the waiting list for a year I did get a reduction done & 2.5 pounds were gone-woo-hoo! Now they are back to what they were before wt. gain & the start of menopause, but I have to be careful not to regain, as that operation can not be done again.Breasts get in the way of being active, including horseback riding & I am very glad I finally got it done. emoticon

Yes! I am new here too and so happy to be here. I am on a quest to save my breasts! They disappear when I drop below 125 lbs. I want to stay curvy and also maintain (and improve) fitness.

It's quite a challenge!

I'm up a couple of lbs. so now I'm trying to get back. I'm within 3 lbs from my goal weight now but I'd like to get back to 130 before the end of the month. I don't want to go into December with a gain because I know it will be even harder to stay on track with all the parties etc. I know what I need to do...now to just do it!

I agree, we have all been there, or will be there at some point during maintenance. Try not to panic or beat yourself up, that will only defeat your attitude. If you need to take some time to get back to it, then it may be best to try to hold steady where you are, if you are ready to start losing back down to maintenance range, then you know what you can do there too, track again what you need to get yourself on the path.

When I jumped above my range the first time, I went back to basics and did a fastbreak again. Back to stage one, and picked one thing to focus on (for me it was water). Seeing that I could do that one thing for a couple of weeks put me back in the mindset, and allowed me to make better choices, and get back to my range.

Good for you for catching yourself early!

After maintaining for nearly a year, I have gone over my five # "window". Two weddings, a vacation, & a work cutback all contributed. I know I need to eat better foods, smaller portions & most importantly MOVE more-I'm just having problems doing it.Can't seem to make myself do what I know needs to be done.Need to find my motivation! emoticon

I've managed 1 month in my range without tracking food/calories/exercise minutes. I've learned that if I can get to the gym 2x per week and get in my 5 a day plus water, I'm ok! emoticon

I hope so. I do the boneless wings, its a texture thing, so I hopefully saved on some fat. I do know I am up pretty high today. I am thinking it is salt. I haven't been that bad lately. I have been tracking 2 days per week to monitor and have been all right. Its also TOM and that usually gives me at least 1. I will not panic until thursday or so.

Starting the month in range and holding... I'm going to celebrate that by taking some time to reflect on WHY it's worth the work to maintain, because November, December, and January are all going to hold more than a few maintenance challenges and I need to stay on track through all of that!

I am a MARATHONER!!!
Tacoma City Marathon (3 May 09) - 3:49:13
... and I'm BOSTON BOUND!!!!
Capital City Marathon (16 May 10) - 3:36:52

...and instead of running Boston, I had a kid! And then 2.5 years later I had another one.
BUT, I've never stopped running or racing!

One of these days, I'll re-qualify for Boston. And tackle Goofy's Race and a Half. Maybe an ultra. Or a half Ironman...

Maintaining, healthily pregnant, or healthily breastfeeding since

Have not been here in quite a while. So far November seems to be going great - I am actually 3 pounds below my goal weight, and if I can go a tad lower, that will give me some wiggle room to accommodate the inevitable holiday gain.

Hope you are all doing well!

I'm doing the best I can, with my health problems. I'm making good choices. I'm exercising regularly.

This month marks two years maintaining! I can do this!!

I have been in maintenance now for almost 4 years - and I am thankful for every day that I continue to make healthy food choices (with treats, I love dessert but not every day!) and exercise at least 4 times per week. We can do it!

Starting November at the high end of my range, but still in the range! I'm getting used to the weekly fluctuations, as I see it in the tracking, my weight goes up and down every week in the same bell-curve, I guess this is my cycle...

I've been pretty good w/ the diet and exercise, so I feel fine about the weight fluctuations.

No, I am not at goal nor maintaining, despite my intentions and efforts. October was a difficult month, but I learned a lot about what works for me and what doesn't.

So I remain VERY optimistic for November, even with Thanksgiving in it! And hopefully, I will report to this thread later on in the month to claim my maintenance prize! :-)

I'm celebrating even though I am at the highest weight I've seen in three years, and above my personal maintenance range. I am thankfully still at my actual goal weight and not freaking out. I am however, back to tracking everyday, making a much greater effort on daily physical activity, and, I've gone back to weekly WW meetings to help me focus through the holidays! I hope to get back to the middle of my range before too long!

Four months of maintenance! Yea!
Christmas day will be six months. There's a reason to watch it over the holidays.

Be kinder than necessary because everyone is fighting a battle of some sort.

How about having a fun "Staying at goal and maintaining" party during each month, right here, on this thread.
A NEW thread will start at the beginning of each month.

If you're within your maintenance range, WONDERFUL!
Celebrate it!

If not, ABSOLUTELY GREAT, because you cought it just in time! NOW! in NOVEMBER 2008.
Evaluate what caused you to slip, the situation, and where it might have occured.
See that you can learn from your slip.

REMEMBER!!!
Slips should teach you, not defeat you!

Forgive! Forget! and Move on!

========================================

Important note!

If you're within any goals that you've set up for yourself for maintenance, it's time for a party!
