" My goal is to live the truly religious life, and express it in my music. If you live it, when you play, there's no problem because the music is part of the whole thing. To be a musician is really something. It goes very, very deep. My music is the spiritual expression of what I am--my faith, my knowledge, my being. " --John Coltrane

Wonderful that you didn't gain weight while you were away! If you can do it with awful diet choices, you can do it when you are in control of the menu!

I don't think I would care to go to those extremes to lose weight.

Hehe. Field training is proof that enough exercise CAN overcome a less than healthy diet. My 6'3" husband went into field training a 161 pounds and came out at 147... and he didn't have any weight that he needed to lose. Took him some time to build the muscle back up, but it can be done! Hope you're enjoying the freedom to choose your own yummy food.

Do ya'll remember me?? Hee hee. I have completed Field Training (Air Force College ROTC basic training type deal) and didn't gain any weight while I was away...despite the awful food choices (awful as in bad for you...but pretty tasty ha ha). I lost some muscle for sure, but I'm so far enjoying putting some weight back on ;) How has everyone else been??
