1. Control and watch my portions (I pick one day every week that I measure EVERYTHING just to check myself)
2. Drink the water---I truly believe the water is one of the elements that is missing in many other weight loss programs.
3. Record my excercise and keep the weekly goal I set!

I agree with VALJUNE, my number one habit for successful maintenance is eating 95% healthy. I sometimes hit 3000 calories a day (I also work out every day, #2 habit) but it never sticks...which is expected when you're only eating super healthy. My third would have to be the daily cheat. I LOVE chocolate...and eat it every day. It's my #3 habit ha ha. In moderation...hee hee.

Monitoring: meaning daily weigh-in which I track on my i-google 15 to keep my head out of daily fluctuations.

Measuring: I measure out some foods for portion control, and just try to limit others for moderation in eating, plus I'm trying to "eat clean" about 90% of the time.

Moving: exercise, I train w/ weights at least once a week, but try to get in more, and cardio 3-5 times a week.

highest weight ever:202, SP starting weight: 143

New goal: more practical new goal, 129, update ticker to reflect that goal.

1. Packing my lunch - a money saver, time saver, and calorie saver. I pack fruit for snacks, too.

2. Exercising regularly. This has health benefits beyond the scale and I feel is very important to me for my future.

3. The ability to forgive, forget, and start over when I get mad with myself for my weight or what I put in my mouth!

Great topic!

1. Journaling every day.
2. Attending WW meetings every week, including weekly weigh-in.
3. Exercise - this is the hardest habit for me. I'm still working on it.

Just 3? :)

1. Weight Training! It revs the metabolism and builds/maintains muscle!

2. Listening to your stomach and not your eyes! We aren't always able to eat the healthiest foods, but listening to hunger cues helps to cut down on the over eating

3. Find ways to be active! If you don't have time for traditional exericse, find other ways to be active. Do heavy cleaning, home repairs, walk the dogs, bike ride with the spouse, garden, anything!

1. I weigh every day at the same time and wearing the same thing.
2. I journal every other day (1000 calories)

1) weigh myself only once a week
2) track my food when I'm eating new things or doing new exercises or I feel like I need a refresher (normally this is every other month or two for a whole week)
3) keep exercising

*4) (I'm sneaking in an extra!) Get people that are around you involved with your eating healthy and exercising, always better with family and friends or even coworkers!

Exercise daily, at least something on the weekends, lots of salad, and weighing at least 3 times a week to keep an eye on it.

Hi Caz: I weigh myself daily, too, every morning. I am at the point now where I know what to expect and my daily fluctuations are only that--fluctuations, data, nothing more. Best wishes!

I'm new to this too so;
weighing regularly
tracking nutrition and fitness
working out regularly.

I confess I weigh myself daily at the moment as I'm scared I'll put on weight. Is anyone the same??

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.......

I've only been maintaining for a few months so far, but the 3 things that keep me on track are...

1- water
2- weighing in often
3- fruits & veggies
