Weighed myself toady and I'm up 1lb, ate on the higher end of my calorie range all week and very little exercise. But still 9 pounds below my original goal weight. I don't like it but it was a hard week. Fortunately SP is there to keep me aware! Claudia

I agree with BEEJAY. Please change your statement to "I know I can." We also believe that you will maintain that goal.
I have started walking outside with the help of my new walking buddy...Miss Norma, my 4 wheel walker with brakes and a seat! Please read my blog to learn more about her! She is very special to me. She was given to me last Thursday night. Friday I walked 15 minutes, Sat. I walked 30 minutes, Tuesday of this week I did 45 minutes and 1.22 miles, and today I did 30 minutes and took 1,897 steps ! It's so good to be walking again. Can you tell how excited I am? I take my portable radio tuned to classical music, and off I go with my pedometer, water, ID, cell phone, and asthma rescue inhaler. I get everything ready the night before, and go first thing in the morning. My DH Arjay put a small kid's bicycle basket n my walker to hole my stuff. He' also going to Stencil the name "Miss Norma" on my walker so she'll have her name displayed. Now I know I will maintain. I'll have to increase my points now so I don't lose any more. Today I was below goal and weighed 113.4. My goal is 115.
If I can do this, anyone can do this. Start walking!

Good news on my weigh in day I lost another pound. I've started treadmill again and I'm trying to continue with weight training, although I only do it when I'm at the gym and my aim is to do it at home every second day. Claudia

Since reaching my goal weight at the end of March I kept loosing weight and it filled me with happiness. I now don't want to maintain, I want to keep loosing it. This week was the first week I felt the food slipping away and I'm sure tomorrow my weigh-in day will show an increase although still below my goal weight. I'm a bit sad about this but it has been a couple of difficult weeks with my DH's surgery and all the responsibility and the work falling upon me and very little time for exercise. At this point I don't know if to lower my goal weight or just keep maintaining in this range. Have to think about it. I do enjoy immensely being in a weight I haven't been since I was 17 and was taking diet pills to keep it. We'll see what the scales say. Claudia

I'm so glad you've noticed the important second part of the celebration on this thread. Good for you!

It's so much better to identify and work on getting back on track as soon as possible and that's what this tread is aiming for, in addition to the celebration of maintenance.

I am stoked because I have been maintaining since Feb and it is a fabulous feeling
That being said, I have decided that after maintaining this for awhile, I am going to work to lose 10 more pounds to put me down to 135 which will be an ideal weight for me and one that I have not seen since high school!!
I have been set up on a great plan by CCShere on the Calorie Cycling team so I am ramped up to start and have started cycling my calories today!!
I love this team and even though I am *technically* not maintaining anymore, I fully plan to keep reading everyone's posts and contributing what I can to the team!!

Hello: my posted weight is 176, however last week I saw 182 for the first time is several weeks. So, for the past 4 days I've been working out like a beast and hope to see at least 179 by Monday night. I have the habit of not getting on my scale every day (drives me crazy!) but instead I plan it as part of my program goal.....I'll keep this thread posted!!!!

I think I'll be a wall flower for now! I consider myself maintaining but I need to work to lose the weight I've found.
I've got the tools, I know I can do it! If I start making progress, maybe I'll stop holding up the wall and join the fun! ;)

I'm approaching the squirrely stage. :( I'm still within a good range, but I don't want to get too much farther on it. Hubby was on vacation last week and we ate a lot of stuff. Healty too, but there was some junk in there. :( Okay, I kicked my butt for doing that, and I'm over it, so I need to move on and party too! Back on track and moving forward again! Let's goooooooooooooooo!
Yes!!! 2 years and one month now, and I'm right in the middle of my range!
Thanks for doing these monthy celebration threads, Mimi, I think they really helped my motivation and got me back into focus and on track!

Yay! I'm still in my range after kicking the exercise blahs and a spell of eating too much ("but it's good/healthy stuff!"?!?). It's been over a year of maintenance and the whole time I've been feeling like I'm just *starting* to figure this out?...what a strange journey!

Great idea! I've only been in maintenance for 1 week and I'm loving it! Feels like I'm eating way more food - still tracking though.
The only downside is I'm not so motivated to exercise, so I'll have to work on that.

I'm up a couple pounds from last month, but I feel stronger and my muscles are more defined so maybe it is the "muscle weighs more than fat" thing? I can hope. Still feel great and I'm not taking maintenance for granted. I know how easy it is to slip. This will be my 2nd month on maintenance.

Thanks Mimi for starting this thread again this month! It always seems to help remind me how far I've come and to help me keep my perspective. Right now I'm in mid-range ...but I've been beating myself up a bit for not eating as healthy or staying as active as I feel I should...this was my friendly reminder that things are actually going pretty well because I've continued to be mindful every day!

It's time to party!
I'm in the middle of my goal range, 2.8 pounds above my lowest goal weight. I would like to lose 0.8 pound in June so I can be at the lower part of my goal range.
Easy to accomplish!
I'll celebrate 9 years of maintenance on July 2nd, 2012!
How about having a fun "Staying at goal and maintaining" party during each month, right here, on this thread. A NEW thread will start at the beginning of each month.
If you're within your maintenance range, WONDERFUL! Celebrate it!
********************************
If not, ABSOLUTELY GREAT, because you cought it just in time! NOW! in JUNE, 2008. Evaluate what caused you to slip, the situation, and where it might have occured. See that you can learn from your slip.
REMEMBER!!! Slips should teach you, not defeat you!
Forgive! Forget! and Move on!

Important note!
If you're within any goals that you've set up for yourself for maintenance, it's time for a party! ========================================
JULY 2008! Here we come!
