I agree with Lori. Walking is a wonderful way to lose weight, therefore, walking a dog gets you motivated. I give you permission to read this to your Hubby lol. Be sure and use the Nutrition Tracker here. It is a very useful tool for keeping you focused. Let us know how it goes!

Both of my guys are rescues. Maybe you can convince him you need the dog to help you reach your goal. Take one step at a time. Until you get your dog you can virtually share ours.

I'm cheering you on and wishing you success. When I got my rescue, Zoey, she spurs me on to walk everyday. Some days we get more time in than others but we always walk. Maybe your hubby will compromise somewhat!!!!!

Have you tried a low-carb diet (for life is best)? It will give you relatively quick weight loss with very little or no exercise at first which might help because of your back pain. It is really helpful to lose belly fat fast which should also reduce back pain.

I actually got a dog early on in my weight loss journey so that I would have no excuse to skip walking. At the time I lived in an upstairs condo so walking the dog several times a day was a must. Lorraine

My husband said to me that if I lost 40lbs that he would rescue a dog for me! Now I really, really want a dog since mine passed on in January 012. But 40 lbs! I can't even lose 1 lb! I call that blackmail! I'm going to barter with him with the weight. Iamhaving health issues due to my weight & I find it really tough to do my Volunteer job at the Hospital. My lower back is giving out & the pain in so excrutiating that it is radiating around to my front &meeting in the middle. Went to the ER & they said there is nothing wrong with my health. So it's gotta be the extra weight on a 5' 1" frame I weigh195 lbs!

It's one step at a time! I can't get from A to C without going thru B.
Wish meluck so I can join all of you and have a dog to love too!
