Strummer got a lot of new walking in this week! I drove from WA to Las Vegas and he was just giddy every time we got out of the car! Of course, he just had to sniff every bit of the dog walk areas, but we camped out at night, too, so he got to walk around the campgrounds. It was his first really far away trip from home and he did great!

I take all three of my dogs for a walk 4 - 5 times a day. This morning when walking them I took a mis-step and hurt my foot. As we were limping towards home, I bent over to fix my dog's leash which had gotten stuck around her foot and when I stood back up my lower back went out. I barely made it home ugh. I know I need to rest it but the dogs aren't going to walk themselves and they refuse to use the bathroom in our own yard. It's going to be an interesting few days!!

My little baby Chuey loves to go for walks. My parents walk him 2.5 miles but I wonder sometimes if he walks so he doesn't have to be alone....he has alittle problem with that. =)

I love to walk and I usually take Daytona (rott) and Baby Star (pit) together....I walk Baxter (pitX) sep. We go to lots of different places just ot mix it up a bit! haha....they all love to go for walks and so do I. Baxter and Daytona know the word walk....and are ready instantly....Baby Star is deaf, so when she sees her special walking harness....she does circles in the air....it is hilarious! XOXO, Jojo

My springer loves to go for walks. As soon as he sees me with workout clothes on and my shoes in my hand, he's whining and heading to the door. Half the time, though, I'm heading to Zumba class and he can't go, so as soon as I say "Zumba," he just completely deflates and goes to sit on the couch. Then he looks at me sideways while I'm putting my shoes on as if to say-Fine, go ahead, I don't even care. But the other half of the time when we're heading out for a walk, he is just happy as a clam! The start of our walks around the neighborhood are all the same near the house, but he acts like he's never been out of the house before!

Our 2 little girl Chi's, love the outdoors and we just say walk, camping, outdoors are you coming and they are to the door faster than we can get there! The littlest one tires out much fasted than the bigger one who can run & leap like a gazelle!! They are really fun outside!
Slow & steady makes a winner of us. Even if we hit pitfalls, get up. Know that a new day is right around the corner. Try to be all that you can be. Work at it a day at a time.

my baby english bulldog walks as far as he feels like. then he puts his breaks on and wants to go home. he lays on his side so you can't drag him. it's really funny to watch.

My pup insists on her walks. She gets antsy if I don't take her often enough. Good news is her brother is visiting from New York. He doesn't get much exercise due to the house he is living in (one reason she came to me). I'm actually not sure she likes walking with him because I go slower for him since it is so new to him. Interesting experience walking a pack!

I have three goldens so don't walk them separately. I take them to a park and let them run, we walk together off leash, and I also throw bumpers for them to retrieve. These outings are often my favorite part of the day and I try to get them out every day or every other day. They love it. As soon as I put on my ballcap, they jump up and run to the door. They know and are so excited.
All three of my guys are great and fun. They all have such different personalities and I just cannot imagine life without them (14,8.5,5). My old guy at 14 still runs and gets so excited.
Love my guys!

I love doing dog walks with my clients when I can, to me dog walking doesn't feel like exercise or a chore and its fun to make up new routes around town and then coming back home and finding out how far i went on dailymile by mapping my routes.
its funny cause as soon as i say the words walk, park or sometimes trail they know what im talking about and even when i put on my shoes they get all excited cause they think there going out.
share your fun times with your dog walking and your feelings on this...
