I feel for you. I have been going back and forth from the vet for the past 3 weeks for tests. They still have No Clue what's going on with her. I read the Cushings symptoms and she has Some, Not all the symptoms. to you and Sasha, and I hope we can both get Comfort real soon! ~deb and Mattie

It is so heartbreaking when our pets get sick. When our darling Badi sickened and died we were heart broken for a while but having another dog did help as he was sad and then lightened up as did we. But I still think about Badi every day at least several times. Normal I think.

I'm so sorry! Hoping there's great improvement in her condition today. Hang in there!
Kaizen, Japanese for "continuous improvement" or "change for the better," refers to philosophy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement of processes. Kaizen is a daily process of making changes and monitoring results, then adjusting as needed.
Im sorry you are going through this. It is so scary when our best friends get sick. If the symptoms are due to Cushings there may be medication that would make a big difference. I know of a dog that lived several years with Cushings and ended up dying of other causes at a ripe old age. It's great that they have the fever under control better. Try to get some sleep while your dog is in good hands. Hugs, Birgit
You can talk to God all you want and that's great, but the changes happen when you start listening to him.
Had to bring my baby Sasha to the animal ER clinic today. We had seen her vet on Fri cuz she was very lethargic and not her usual happy go luck self, her blood test showed some elevation in various areas and we were suppose to go back tomorrow for a review and tx plan, but she got worse yesterday and when I brought her into the ER her fever registered at 106.1! After hydration and Xrays (which showed nothing) we took her home, gave her ice rubs to break the fever, but after looking initially a bit better we ended up bringing her back to the ER where she is now spending the night hooked up to IV, they gave her antibiotics, took a blood sugar test (normal). I called a little while ago and her fever was down to 104, she had puked a bit, but was now resting. I am so scared of losing her...she is a Pom/Chi, 10 1/2 yrs old and she's my baby ever since she was 8 weeks old! Last year she was diagnosed with (borderline) Cushings Disease, but due to the fact that she really did not show any signs or symptoms she was not put on any meds for it. It is very hard to distinguish where the Cushings starts and other illnesses start, where do they overlap? Is her disease progressing? Is it something else...I don't know but I'm scared!
Sorry for my rambling but....
One doesn't have to be GREAT to start, but one has to START to be great!
