Before you could care for a flea bite, you need to have the flea condition manageable, or you will may have plenty of flea bites to deal with. It is advisable to treat your home as well as your dog using reliable flea killing solutions and products. If you're doubtful which of them to apply, you can ask the vet and in addition they can suggest the suitable form or even sell a flea treatment method you put at the dog's shoulder muscles one per week.

Upon having taken care of the particular flea condition and you visibly are watching the fleas falling off your dog or not even moving, it is advisable to shampoo your dog with the oat meal based products. Avoid the use of a flea shampoo since this can definitely prickle in the event the flea bites have generated blisters upon your pet dogs body.

In case your dog is certainly full with fleas, as your shampoo her or him, if you see that wash turning reddish colored, this can be a leftover blood which dried out once the fleas bit your pet. You may want to wash several of times, according to extent.

I bought some itch ease shampoo and gave him another bath, he seems much happier and like himself now. He is still a little itchy but way better. He has only had fleas twice cause I used to do the garlic too, just forgot. The stuff we put on the dogs is pesticide, garlic is still was better even though some drs say it is toxic too. I know I will never wash him with that flea shampoo again, was no good and he seemed miserable. I will go bad to garlic which worked great for the past 8 years

My dog i have now has never had fleas; my dog before her would have them all the time which meant i would have flea bites all over me, too. Somewhere i read to give dogs brewer's yeast with garlic and that has done the trick with my current dog. My vet was very unhappy with this decision as she says garlic is toxic; but the garlic in the product i give her is miniscule and i've been giving it to her for about 3 years now. Would really like to find an organic product to use on her but thus far haven't heard of anything.

some aloe gel might help sooth the sore areas and as long as it is all nature and without colors... it should be perfectly safe to use on your pup.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood!

Cool bath should help, and just keeping him cool in general. Ice cubes to eat, keep him out of the sun. Try to keep him from scratching and biting at himself (Yeah, easier said than done). An ice pack might help if he has a really stubborn itchy spot.

I got some monthly treatment stuff, I just meant to help him with the after bite, he is still itchy and has a few spots where he scratched himself raw over the weekend

I treat Lenny with Advantix once a month after a good bath. He doesn't get fleas or ticks anymore and we have lots around here.

Revolution, from the vet. You should be treating monthly anyway.

She was puppy sitting for him this weekend and he came home with fleas, only second time in ten years. Shampooed him and gave hm some benadryl but he is still miserable and scratching. Haven't seen anymore fleas on him. Going to go buy some oatmeal shampoo after work and hope that soothes him. anymore advice?
