im glad you are on box of candies nice to have joined us,,
I walked 1 hour today.
and i stripped my whole bedroom for spring clean up before its really to hot,
I m oved beds and all my girls also helped me,
wow I am so happy but not happy having a very late meal,
night all

Didn't do any exercising today due to a migraine headache, but yesterday I walked to class. It was beautiful here in western NY. Today has been rainy and cool. Hope to get in somewalking tomorrow. Have a great night everyone.

I had to go to the post office, and took the opportunity to walk instead of driving . . . for 30 minutes of walking around mid-day. We are still planning our evening walk after dinner. This should be a very nice day.

No, he wouldn't part with it ... when he put it down to look at something and I picked it up, he reminded me that I didn't have a bike helmet, so I couldn't use it!

At 11, he is now old enough to use my own rules against me!

We set out to walk for 30 minutes today. My son took his scooter along (an old-fashioned scooter, like a skateboard with handlebars, just in case that term is also used to describe a motorized bicycle) . . . he would take off ahead and check back on me . . . he decided we could handle an hour today (sure, and do I get a turn with the scooter?).

We did it! So I got 60 MINUTES in today!

I would recommend the omron hj-112 ped.
walmart sells them for under $20.
But they are sold in the pharmacy dept.

Not only does it tell you tolal steps but tels you aerobic steps and time of aer steps.
it also has a 7 day memory.

Your best bet to make sure you get it is to order on line at

they will ship it free to a store near you.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago when I met my parents for lunch. Thought the salad would be the best choice, but when I got home and looked it up online, ouch! If I know I am going somewhere now, I sometimes try and look things up beforehand, so I have some idea about the choices. But that still isn't always possible.

Its nice to know that your habits have changed so much that going off track felt 'out of the ordinary!' i agree with Carol, I would certainly not beat yourself up over it. Maybe it will give you metabolism a little 'jump start' going into the coming week!

I got good advice from a sp friend after I went to a birthday party and filled up with cake. She said, try to eat some healthy foods before you go and try to fill up at home first. You know, I did try that and it worked.

I went off track eating on Friday too, but I know what it was...a graduation lunch that the whole family went to. How would you all handle those "feasts"? It was at a BBQ place, and I picked out what I thought was ok, but it wasn't in the least. Added to that, the whole day was ruined as far as any activity, such as walking...we started out the day at 6:00 a.m. At least, I know that's not my eating or exercising habit anymore, so I don't feel that guilty.

I't doesn't really matter how much you walk its the point getting out there walking and doing something its not about compitition its all about fun and losing weight, here we are allll doing great..
I walked today 40 minutes 7484vsteps but I was off track for eating today, but I am not going to feel guilty or I am just gonna go down and I dont wanna do that,,,,tommorrow is another day..

I got my half hour of walking in this evening. It was late, but that worked out well, as it was very warm here through the daytime today.

Hi, all . . . it looks like you are doing some wonderful things here! Pat, I tried the chair ab exercises after you mentioned them. I can tell that I worked.

A friend was feeling badly this morning and we took a 5 minute walk. Funny how things work out . . . my goal for today was 30 minutes, but my son and I only got 25 minutes in this evening before I felt like we needed to quit, since he has school tomorrow. I had completely forgotten about my short walk this morning, until I went to record my 25 minutes and found the other 5, already recorded!

Sometimes things just turn out alright!

Fine...it's a beautiful day out today. I suffer from arthritis here and there too...seems like in my hip.

Since I take water pills and it says not to be in the sun, I'm going to have to at least get a hat and sunscreen...I have sunglasses.

I walked for 15 minutes
uop and down the stairs and hangin up outside oh wow smells so nice,,,
up and down the stairs about 8 times
since I have arthritis in my knees hips and ancles
I was in alot a pain lastnight and couldnt sleep..
maybe walked to much i am not sure..
or just the humid doing that.

This is Wednesday...

First I did the chair ab crunches, but then I felt like I should burn off a few more calories because of the tortilla chips I had, so I braved those hills and traffic and walked for about 20 minutes...it didn't seem long but since it was on hilly country I ended up burning 220 calories...more than took care of those chips. emoticon

So far I haven't gotten to walk. But I did take a two year old shopping, in and out of carseat, and walking in and out of stores. Had several to go to. Plus we went to the greenhouse and picked up vegetable plants and flowers. Our vegetable garden is about 2 acres as we can and freeze alot of our food. So this evening we are gardening. After all that I want to take a short walk. If I can still move that is.

I got up this morning and did some low impact aerobics. At around 3p.m. I am going to take the kids for a 45 min. bike ride. (they ride I walk)

This is supposed to be my day off to let my muscles heal, so they say. Yesterday I did stretching and chair ab crunches. I can't walkoutside as much as I want to because one of my medicines makes me sensitive to the sun, but I can always rely on the old treadmill, boring as it is.

Due to a abdomanel hysterectomy 1 month ago i just started walking my kids half way to school, their school is 11 blocks away and it felt good.
