This site lists songs with a good tempo and even lets you listen to most of them, but you will have to download them somewhere else

I like Toby Mac, if you are looking for something a bit "harder", more like hard rock, try Skillet or Fireflight

I'm trying to remember where a friend of mine found a list of Christian songs with a specific syncopation specifically for an exercise class she was teaching. Let me check and see if I can find it.

This will date me a bit, but my Smalltown Poets CD (the first one) really got me grooving when I used it to exercise. Then after a few fast paced songs (when I was getting to the point of barely able to breathe!), it had a slower song and I could catch my breath for a few. Then back at it! Lol. :)

Almost all of my music in my "Exercise" playlist are Steven Curtis Chapman songs. :) Yep - my favorite. I especially like Bring it On, Live Out Loud, Jesus is Life and See the Glory. (All, I think, from his Declaration CD.) Also, TobyMac - Made to Love and City On Our Knees.
I have them arranged and play in a certain order - certain tempos picking up as I get more into my workout - a more relaxing one when I need a slower pace - keeps my running purposed. And the added pleasure of doing it all in praise to the Lord!

1 Corinthians 15:58

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord."

Our oldest daughters are really enjoying the Newsboys right now. I would suggest Lincoln Brewster for some amazing electric guitar. Steven Curtis Chapman's Great Adventure is what we listen to at chore time. It really gets us moving.

My husband-so-dear got me an MP3 player for Christmas. So far I've been listening to podcasts while on the treadmill, and it's good, as I don't get to listen to good Christian shows any other time. (Too busy with the kids.)

I want to put together a set of music that will really get me grooving and feeling energetic, but it has to also be spiritually uplifting. My body feels best when my heart is praising our wonderful Lord!

What songs would you suggest? I want the tempo to be pretty fast, to motivate me to walk fast on the treadmill. I want the theology of the song to be rich and full, so my mind has plenty to meditate on.

What's on your player?
