thanks for sharing that debbie. i have known who i would vote for for a long time, and so i've tried not to get too much info because if things go a certain way, i know it could really stress me out. so i'm planning to just wait until the outcome is final, not pay attention as everything is tallied, etc. i know worry won't help anything, and i know that i have to trust the Lord with my life, come what may. i will pray for all these crucial decisions around the nation today.

i think about how i just pray that the Lord will put good (or better, at least as far as principles and morals go) people in office, but then it seems so much of our nations doesn't care about principles and morals, and so it seems like we would be getting what we deserved as a nation to get ungodly leaders. anyway, sorry for all my rambling. just my thoughts of late...

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.

The past does not determine the future.

I agree! Since this is a political thread let me just jump in and encourage us as Christian women to vote for the platform that protects our unborn children. Also be informed. Good rhetoric does not negate a voting record.

In light of the seriousness of our election in California, I cannot rest until I share why it is so important to vote YES on Prop 8.

Many have gay and lesbian friends and this has influenced many to vote in support of their friends.

Hopefully, you are already planning on voting yes on Prop 8. Here are some reminders about why voting Yes is so crucial to our future.

A Yes vote on prop 8 means:
-4 judges won’t be allowed to overturn a majority vote by the people
-Children won’t be taught about gay marriage in school
-Churches won’t be sued for refusing to marry gay and lesbian couples

Check the facts for yourself before you cast your ballot.

Please pray and vote tomorrow!
