I liked the moving blocks, too. That was so neat!! I also like watching the countries march in, especially the countries that only have a handful of athletes participating, and most have no hope for a medal. I think it's really cool that they are there, and that they have a story, too.

That little boys story was amazing. That takes a lot of character at that age to go back in and save two of his classmate. I was amazed when he said he did it because he was the class leader and that was his job.
I enjoyed the whole thing. I think it was cool that they let that little 9 year old walk with the China team. His story is sooo good. The drums where another part that I enjoyed.

We actually missed it. That sounds pretty cool. We don't have tv at home, so I'm watching volleyball at my mom's house right now. USA just won their match. Woohoo!
I hear they spent hundrends of millions of dollars on the opening ceremony. To me that's kinda sad considering how many people lost their homes because of olympic building projects.
But I do enjoy watching the olympics. i can't wait to see more.

For those of us that are following the Olympics what was your favorite part of the opening cerimonies? There were so many amazing things that they had but my two favorite were the blocks that they had in the middle. How amazing that that was all powered by men, no hydrolics at all. Then next was of course the lighting of the torch. My daughter was woried that he was goingt o fall. She couldn't understand how he was running int he air.
