I am totally with the two of you. I haven't been fully staffed since last May. Sometimes I think I could just turn a recording on of the questions and leave the room. Fortunately there are funny busy squirrels ouside my window who keep me distracted, um, I mean focused!
Watch the leaves in the autumn. They change colors and then fall off the tree. Live life in the same way. As time progresses, become more and more beautiful, and then gently slip away. From The Zen Book by Daniel Levin.
OMG I am with you! It's the part of my job I hate, not only do you just sit there all day I feel like my mind melts, I find myself asking a question and thinking "oh no did I just ask that?" they all blur together. Yuck!

I've been doing back to back, non-stop interviewing for the past 3 days. It zaps your energy...For example yesterday, I sat in the chair at 11 and except for rising when the applicant came in, I did not move from that chair until after 4. By the time I got home I was mentally exhausted with no desire to exercise. I sat on a sofa with my son eating pizza and watching House of Wax....
