Today was the chapter meeting for DCSHRM (HRA-NCA). So I drove almost into DC and took the metro in. Stopped a couple of stations away and got some walking in...yeah...walking in the rain in DC.
Our chapter meeting was with a EEOC trial attorney. He shared a lot of great information on EEOC trends in regards to GINA, ADA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Equal Pay Act, Social Media, Credit Checks, background checks and more.
He could have easily spent 1.5 hours on each topic he spoke about, but unfortunately his entire presentation had to be completed within the 1.5 time frame.
I didn't eat the lunch provided, though we did have a salad, and the chicken was baked
It had the skin on it so I decided to be good. After the meeting, I walked to a further metro stop.
What a day!
