Ah stress, did I ever have life without it? Can't remember. My son has been embroiled in the world's ugliest custody battle over his two little girls for the past 4 years. He was given custody almost two years ago and the three of them live with us, but the ex is a violent person (that keeps us on pins and needles!) and just won't leave things alone and we are now facing a jury trial. Anyway...
My book club is currently reading "Prayer" by O. Hallesby and I've found it to be very helpful. I've been praying daily for our ex DIL and her family for years, but Hallesby has some very concrete ideas for approaching prayer and he's opened my eyes to the places I've let pride get in the way.
Wesley said he had to start every day with two hours of prayer just to get through. I'm certainly not at that point! Baby steps, always baby steps.
Remember, whenever you sling mud you lose ground!
