Way to go! 19 days post and you're already walking a mile? Great job!!!

Got to work this am and our power was out. I decided to take advantage of the awesome weather and went outside for a walk. I'm already over 2 miles for the day and I haven't had my afternoon walk yet.

It's nice to feel food and actually WANT to exercise!

Nice! I got in a one mile walk today. Far cry from my running days, but given that I'm 19 days post-partum and had an infant in a stroller with me, I think it's pretty good!

Skipped my treadmill date last night because I was exhausted. I got up this am and went to the grocery store and walked around and then came to work and walked some more. It is gorgeous outside today in Maryland so I would like to take another walk or two today while at work. And I WILL be getting on the treadmill tonight. :)

I've been on a roll lately. My last appointment was 7.21.14 and I've only gained 5 lbs overall (I am now 20 weeks). My midwife said that this is ok since I have some extra weight. She also recommended that I keep walking. So hubby and I have a nightly date - I get on the treadmill and he gets on the elliptical.

the walking part of my commute is about all the exercise I've been getting. Luckily when combined with normal activity it amounts to about 8,000 of the 10,000 steps I'm supposed to be doing each day. I just have to try to stay active into the evening to hit 10,000 (~5 miles?).

Great that my job is at a Botanical Garden. Just did a quick 20 minute walk around the Garden and hope to get another 20 minutes in tonight around my block.

15 min prenatal vinyasa yoga. Lack of sleep, becoming larger, and aches have slowed down (halted) my exercise routine. I'm hoping the yoga helps with the aches by stretching me out. I'd love to do another 15 min in a few hours too.

I was a slacker with documenting last week but I did do 4 workouts. Today I did 45 mins. on the treadmill at a 4 incline then did 1/2 hour on the stationary bike. I feel so much better when I workout - - gotta remember that when I don't feel like it. Good work ladies! Keep at it!

Sounds like everyone is doing super great!!

I went for a walk/jog Thursday (first time in a few months), and although I didn't do what I used to do, I did some and it felt great!

Went for a walk yesterday. Today it's raining and cold so am not too sure about walk/jog, we'll see if it lets up. Have a goo weekend ladies!!

Not really far enough along to get contractions from fitness. I have just been so tired this past month that anything more then a walk is rare.

Yesterday we seized the morning and went Hiking such a fun family activity and I got in my fitness.

I'm 33 weeks pregnant. I haven't been super active but definitely do not lead a sedentary lifestyle. I work at a hospital 3 days a week, plus usually 2 or 3 more administrative days a week, am taking care of our house and 5 year old while my husband is deployed, and we're at the pool 2 or 3 days a week bobbing around in the water, so I'm busy and not really laying around. This morning I was okay after some level 1 prenatal yoga on YogaGlo.com (check it out, it's awesome), but level 1 is really basic. However a couple hours later I got on the treadmill at the gym and started with just a 20-minute mile and ended up having contractions about 15 minutes in. Even after slowing down to a 24-minute mile they kept coming. This is really frustrating because I want to keep moving and be active. Does anyone else have the same problem?

40 minute walk (had some cramps halfway through for about a minute). Light yard work for 30 minutes.

It's hard to motivate myself to want to workout, but I keep telling myself "The research says that being active 30 minutes a day will make for an easier labor and delivery!"

1 hour of yard work yesterday. Worked up a sweat pulling weeds, but the chiggers were the real winners!

Today was 26 minutes of my prenatal workout video. I was only going to do 15 minutes since I got overly sore last time, but the time kind of flew by me. I missed working out!

AMANDARDH - Some things to consider - if this isn't your first pregnancy, were there any problems with prior pregnancies? How active were you prior to your pregnancy? My doc told me that working out is absolutely excellent, and gave me zero restrictions at all. It is later on in pregnancy where you will have to be concerned with not laying flat on your back, being careful not to bend too deep doing certain exercises due to relaxin, etc. Everything I did prior to pregnancy was OKed by the doc for the first trimester. I am assuming you aren't wanting to do something like skiing or other sports that have a serious risk of a very nasty injury.

I FINALLY worked out this morning! A quality workout, I mean, not just throwing in some squat sets in front of the copier at work. It is a prenatal workout video, with workouts for each trimester. I am ashamed to say that this was the first time I even cracked the wrapper on it, and I've had it for four months.
My lower back is feeling a bit sore right now. I'm hoping it's gone by tomorrow. I only did 28 minutes including the warm-up and cool-down, and would like to build up to the full 40 minute workout within the next few weeks.

I don't have my first doctor's visit until later this week, but what can I safely do for exercises early on? What is a safe weight range and intensity level to work at? My mom keeps nagging me to not do zumba and other high impact cardio and not to lift heavy objects, but how do I know what's safe or not until I see a doctor?

If youre going to be able to look back on something and laugh about it, you might as well laugh about it now.

All day nausea has left me with little to no motivation for exercise .. ugh .. really hoping it doesn't last long! Managed a mile walk with my 2-year-old today, and lots of up and down the stairs doing laundry.

I have been lifting light weights 3x/week. Also lots of walking. Helpful for back pain, but tiredness sets in quicker these days.
